Accommodation was more than adequate. We were sharing with daughter and son-in-law and we were pleased with the space and equipment (except kitchen equipment - see below). Staying at Cauquenes de Nimez was one of the best travel experiences we ever had. It is not a place for those looking for luxury, but instead you will find a great staff that will make their best to make you feel like you are at home. Have a free cup of tea at 6 o'clock looking at the birds flying over the Nimez laguna and waking up with the birds singing is really fantastic. Located only 15 minutes-walk away from the center of the city. Thanks Sr. Gabriel and the team for the great hospitality

We are a couple from Mexico in our fisrt trip to Calafate. We found Hosteria Meulen wonderful and clean. Hostesses were very nice and always worried about our satisfaction. Hotel has a very nice view and is away from the noise of the town, something that is appreciated when you come back very tired from the excursions and just want a deep sleep. -

The Alto Verde Hosteria was a great small hotel, located about a 10 minute walk from the center of town. The staff there were wonderful and extremely helpful, even packing our breakfast to go each morning because we were going on early tours. Highly recommend this hotel.

Very friendly staff , very good atmosphere feels like a home. Very nice to come back after a long day of hiking to a place like that. The rooms are not big, but they are enough. There is a lot of sitting areas in the lobby, cozy. Was fun having coffee on a comfy sofa every day. The location is excellent, everything is nearby, if we ever go back to el calafate this will be our first choice.

Friendly, helpful staff ( especially Adolfo ) who made sure we had everything we wanted. He even called the tour operators and helped book our day trips. Rooms are spacious and clean . View from the room offers a magnificent landscape of Andes, snow covered peaks and a turquoise lake which is huge!
