  We liked that they designated a parking space just for us in front of my parents room because they were elderly and the rooms were clean and right across the road from the beach. The pool area was nice and clean as well. For an older facility it was very affordable and they didn't charge extra to use the second bed !(which I find is ridiculous a... mitä ihmiset sanovat » fter you have paid to for the room anyway) Thank you for a great stay and we will be back - The Sands had an excellent location to the beach and downtown. The pool was warm and the room was spacious for our big family. The motel is updated yet not commercialized like a larger chain. We loved our weekend.

  I was in Maine for a service for my dad who'd passed away. The sound of the waves crashing rhythmically on the shore was very soothing for me. I appreciate that the Anchorage is open year 'round and has someone at the desk 24-7 even in winter. Also that your off-season rates are reasonable. Thank you!   When we arrived, the room was not in the location we were expecting (hotel - ocean view/deck). The staff graciously made a change for us - placing us in the location we were expecting. (Note: the hotel did not make the initial mistake - letsbookhotel.com did!) Wonderful location! Restaurant (that also serves breakfast) and a pub in the hotel. Has it all; you really don't need to go elsewhere if you don't want to. - We went with our brother-in-law after he loss his wife in january. He felt a closeness their. Next time I`d make sure we got the room in the main part with the elevator so he could be in the exact room he shared with his wife. The bar and food were great,loved the breakfast,so yummy
