  What a find! The breakfast and happy hour at Petite Auberge are the BEST we've ever experienced in a B & B/Boutique hotel. Very generous describes the staff and the food/wine. Our room was cozy (with gas fire place) and decorated so beautifully. Very comfy! We will definitely stay here when we return to S.F. The hotel is located by really nice cafes and great restaurants, although I would stay away from the Italian restaurant right next door. Bad service and not very good.   We have a big family and were given a very large room with a view. This was a pleasant surprise as the only negative comments I read from reviews before our stay was in regard to small rooms without a view. - The staff was very nice and helpful, and it is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay.
