the fact that the front desk staff made my kids night by popping popcorn for them thank you
the staff at the restaurant was rue and didn't help me
This was my first time coming to the city and the front desk and concierge couldn't have been any more helpful and friendly, with them giving me directions and advice how to travel about town really made my trip awesome.
Maybe just I'm use to hotels in Las Vegas but remote operated blinds, heating a/c and lights would've been cool.
The location was excellent with easy access to china town and shopping. I would suggest you ask for a room with a Bay View when booking.
It is expensive, it was a reasonable price using letsbookhotel.com but we extended by a day direct with the hotel and this was extortionate.
Convenient to where I needed to be. Room service had some reasonably priced options. Offered car service to airport.
Immediate neighborhood a little sketchy.
The room was reasonably sized.
The bathroom was very small. Old, slow elevators. The common areas looked old and tired.
Location was very convenient for sightseeing. Staff were friendly and helped us with late check out without any problems.
Would have preferred free internet in the room
good
no
computers
breakfast too expensive no free in-room wifi
I enjoyed the proximity to the Ball Park. We were down for a State Farm function and get together.
There was no Jacuzzi or pool.
Very nice view, comfortable beds...and staff was very attentive.
Had to call front desk to fix AC, didn't have a fridge or microwave, those should be standard for a room priced at over 230 dollars
You can walk to the piers from this hotel, its .8 miles away so not bad at all. I suggest parking in the lot across the street from this hotel, its $27 a day as opposed to $50 for Hilton parking (although it isnt the prettiest).
The area is alright, felt a little sketchy but not bad. A hotel employee knocked on my door around 8am to ask when I planned on leaving, i've never had that happen to me before. Also the taxes were about $40.
Proximity to China Town, Little Italy, Downtown, transportation
Double beds vs. queens
The hotel was efficient and clean and the staff in the executive suite were great. Concierge and valets very helpful and knowledgable
There was no outside pool
Practical, comfortable, efficient
Location could be a bit better - althought it's good
Cultural and design fit with both Chinatown and the sf Financial District
Concierge. Joel was great. Rooms were comfortable.
Paying for Internet as a Hilton member.
Friendly staff and great facility. Also nice business center and great location in San Francisco. You can walk to shopping and Fishermans wharf.
No gift shop
clean comfortable room, good location for piers and china town, coit tower etc, pleasant staff
room window has not been cleaned for years on the outside...the extra money for a bay view is not worth it because you cannot see it through the dirt..the glass is practically opaque.
Incredible view of the Coit Tower from our room, and one of the best views of SF I've ever seen!
The cost, but that's what's to be expected when staying in a Hilton in downtown SF
The convenience to China town
The entire hotel doesn't even have a first aid box, I had fever in the middle of the night and could get even a dose of tylenol from the hotel. I was asked to go to a convenience store six blocks away to buy the otc drug at 3am. That needs to be improved.
The room was clean, had a nice view of the bay, and a wonderfully comfortable bed. The reception/bellhop staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I worked the whole trip, but I want to go back and try the day spa.
The room did not have enough light --even with all the lights on. Likewise, there was also one only set of accessible outlets, which made working in bed with my laptop nearly impossible. It may have just been the layout of room 1525, but quite hard to work around.
The service was wonderful. The hotel staff was very polite and helpful. Felt right at home.
The morning staff of the resturant was not polite. The service was very slow and they didn't seem too care. Nothing like the night time staff. I think the breakfast menu is a little pricy.
Comfortable room with great view of the bay. Clean. Quite well located in that walking distance to Union Square.
No mini-bar.
location, comfy beds, friendly staff
would have extended stay 2 more nights but the hotel would have charged higher (rack) rate not the same as paid on letsbookhotel.com, moved to Marriott Marquis for cheaper price with better facilities
I liked that it was within walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf, although it was not a short walk.
I did not like that the parking cost $50/night on top of the already high hotel rate.
If you book a room with balcony you will get access to the executive floor (free beverages and free breakfast). Don't expect too much of the name Hilton. It is a average hotel.
Very expensive for the comfort of the room. For the location the price is ok. No airport shuttle (Limousine service around 55 Dollar to the airport). Smelly hallway.
Nice rooms and location.
No open wi-fi, which we had in all other hotels in the trip, even being this one the more expensive. We selected the room with bay view and payed more for that but there was no room with the view available when we checked in.
Location
Small rooms Over priced Cheaply renovated No fan in Bathroom
Price, dirty room, no free internet despite high room fees, overpriced parking, room smaller than pictured. Will not stay at any Hilton hotel again because of this.
