I'd like to endorse what other travellers have said about this hotel, the staff are great, the rooms are nice and the cookies are fabulous. But for us the best thing about cci is its location pretty much in the middle of Orange. Come out of the hotel and turn right and you go toward the Hotel Del and lots of shops and places to eat (can recommend the seared Tuna at Tent City and the crab stuffed giant prawns at Brigantine). Turn left and you end up at the ferry landing, again with shops and eat.

They gave us a pet gift bag with treats and poop pickup bags for our dog along with a list of pet friendly places to eat in walking distance and doggy day camps in the area. We will DEFINITELY be coming back and recommending this hotel to our friends that have pets. Also we loved the gorgeous bathroom and shower!. The hotel was very clean and fresh. The bathroom had been been recently updated. Very comfortable and quiet. Convenient location, within walking distance to beaches and ferry. Marsha answered every question I had about the area, had great tips and was so personable. The restaurant was an unexpected treat as well! Appreciated the free parking!. We loved this place. Staff was friendly, the small grounds were beautiful, and the location itself (within the city of Coronado) was nice. Only small issue was that we got a room on the ground floor at the front of the hotel so had to contend with traffic noise (we live in rural uk so don't get any at all at home) and also noise from the room above. Nothing, the place was perfect. While nicely appointed, the rooms are a bit small, as this is an old style California court. But we didn't come to San Diego to stay in a hotel room, so we did not regard this as a major drawback. What's not to like!. Nothing. Carpets needed replacing badly. Heavy soil, but vacuumed well and daily. Room a little small, but acceptable. None. Nothing at all. Modern bathroom but rest of the furnishings are out dated. Wish there was more outside seating near rooms. Double bed rooms are extremely cramped. Not all the light bulbs worked. Need more electrical outlets by bed than just two. I had asked for ground floor and we were upstairs. needed more regular coffee. and fluffier pillows. Not much, not sure bed was actually a King. They need to upgrade their wireless. No exercise facility. No breakfast. Had to go through lots of blank channels on the tv. Probably doesn't apply. Bistro NEVER had oatmeal. Commuting by boat to SD inner city turned out more complicated than expected (service starts late in the weekend), in that sense the location is a little problematic. The front desk hardly had useful info on the topic. Walls must be very thin. I had the tv on so softly I could barely hear it, but was awakened at 3am by a knock on the door because of the tv which I keep on to cover other noises. I called the desk--I certainly wasn't going to open the door at 3 am. Everything ok. rooms are small, but it's to be expected on Coronado. They had lots of shelving and drawers to make things more comfortable. poor tv reception. nothing. Small soap for shower. stairs. A maid walked right into our room after we had just checked in, we were laying in bed. Although the bathroom was very nice, the towels had an odd smell. We could hear every movement outside. Wasn't very quite. Busy main road and traffic noise. poor parking. Room was very small & we faced Orange Avenue which appears to be the main thoroughfare in Coronado, so there was traffic noise all the time, and we were unable to have the window open & had to run the air conditioning, which didn't really do the job. Also, our room was directly over the restaurant, so we had noise from it, also.
