Everyone was very nice. Room was excellent. Bed was extremely comfortable. The weather was nice, which made the Riverwalk very nice. We liked the fact that everything we wanted to see and do was just steps away. Having the Bistro, with their Starbucks coffee and Danishes was fast and convenient . The breakfast menu was top notch. Sitting on the deck outside the bistro was nice, enjoying a cool cocktail, watching as people strolled or jogged by. Valet was nice. A couple of times I needed to retr.
kaikki arvostelut » The stay was a gift from my 2 daughters for my B'day and we loved the room and the view. We had great bonding time and sleep very well. We requested down comforters and really loved the treat. The temps outside were in the low 30's and the room and comforter felt great after walking on the Riverwalk in those temps. I loved the convenience of being on the Riverwalk. I loved having breakfast at the Bistro and sitting on the River. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom spacious! It was very clean. We would definetly stay here again. Everyone in the staff was really nice and courtious. Had a good view of the riverwalk and walking distance.Everything real clean. Great location, close to everything on the Riverwalk. Friendly staff, hotel was secure. Could not use elevators without a room key. The beds were very comfortable. Nothing. I thought $29 per day was a little high for parking but I did discover a $10 self parking lot across the street. The parking fee of $29.00 was high when parking was $10.00 elsewhere. Parking Fee. Vallet service is chaotic. The staff makes a great effort but it is not enough for the price one pays. Looks better on the web page than in real life; no room service but Bistro made up food requests for collection to take to your room. this was the first Marriott courtyard I've stayed at that did not offer a complementary breakfest or coffee available. That to me is a necessity. Of course the cost. The swimming poll looks bigger on the website. The outdoor sign is ridiculous. It is impossible to see at night from the street. We had a difficult time trying to find our way back and had to call a cab to get us there.. Not happy!!. The only parking available is $20+ a night. The outside sign from the street level was impossible to see and we had a difficult time finding our way back at night. Please light it up and make it bigger. Bus station just a block or 2 away was a seedier side of San Antonio. That area needs more police presence. The price for valet. Especially since I was staying there. No dislikes. Our room had a horrible odor. Valet Parking was a little slow (19 minutes), but that may have been just an exception. No 24 hour restaurant with room service. King bed was not made up well and had dirty sheets, Did not replace the coffee cups daily. Did not make up the sofa bed daily. Cost of valet parking. Items were stolen from my room and via the lock records for my room it showed that someone had entered the room while I was out. The hotel will make it seem like you left your door open. I can prove I wasn't at the hotel during the time someone entered the room because I had to check my vehicle out through the valet. I did not like the fact that I was charged $10 extra a night for what is called an incidental fee. Apparently you are charged this just in case you charge snacks, food or drinks to your room whether you actually do it or not. Plus I was charged for 3 nights of valet parking when actually it was only 2 nights. Only to be refunded days later. Also my room smelled like smoke when I initially arrived and I found bread beside the head board. Way too expensive for what you get and location off the river walk. We stayed next to Vatican in Rome and had suite for less than this hotel. Only room available for is was an accessible room. Didn't like the restroom. Room Cost to much and was very over priced.. Room cleaning was not good. parking was over priced. I give it more like a 3 star hotel but paying 5 star prices... The balcony was so small didn't even have chairs to relax... Will not stay there anymore... Why over priced.. The whole place. The staff was as dull as the hotel atmosphere. This is a tired old low rate hotel which must be using the rate card from the Waldorf Astoria. It is not worth over $200 a night and $29 for parking is outrageous. The pool was the size of a tub and they didnt offer room service. I'll never stay there again. for that price staying at remodeling hotel (everywhere was dusty, including rooms). Myself and two of my kids had some rushes on our body because of that.
