  The location of this hotel can't be beat. It's a 2-minute walk to the subway station and there are two delis within a minute for simple needs and food. You can be in Times Square in less than 30 minutes and from there, all over the city. The cost was very affordable. The room was a little small, but well decorated (simple) and very clean. The cleaning service did a go - The staff at this hotel are exceptional; very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The room we had was on the 8th floor with a kitchenette; amazing 180 degree views of Manhattan. Good continental breakfast. Free wifi good except on upper floors, so we used the lobby; the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Location brilliant; only two stops to Manhattan, shops, restaurants all walking distance. Fantastic value for money, but book ahead.

My boyfriend loved searching the bookshelves for interesting things to read! We both appreciated the fast free wifi (there is also a desktop for guests to use free of charge). Innkeeper friendly and very knowledgeable about nyc. Staff went out of their way to help us out. All of this, and it was a better value than the hotels we could find in the area. Just be aware that nyc requires walking, and the subway was a few blocks away. And of course nyc is more expensive than most cities.
