  I like the style, frankly the ' class ' that The Carlyle and that the staff exude. I stayed many times at The Carlyle in the 1980's early 90s, indeed had my wedding there in 1998.   Great spa, great setting, very, very nice and helpful staff. Very good food except for the Gurney burger--dry and tasteless. Nice rooms, great views, comfortable beds. Very clean and comfortable baths.
