I originally did not pick because it looked somewhat shady but when I arrived to HNL and saw what it looked like. I booked a reservation.

The location was excellent. The facility met all of my basic needs and the staff were helpful in all respects. A treat for me was getting bottled water in my room each day! I loved the history of the hotel. It's not like the huge hotels on the island, but it is romantic in that it kind of takes you back in time. Very friendly at reception. Parking was good even though others took advantage of parking along the perimeters of the lot. That is, we wanted to be sure that we could get out of the parking lot in the very early hours of the morning so that we we could get ur early inter-island flight. Hotel staff curule ensure tat people did not park in the thoroughfare of the exit of the parking lot.

My stay at the Polynesian Plaza was wonderful. I wasn't expecting a lot as I was looking for accommodation at a reasonable price. The location was perfect, the staff was excellent and the room was fine. Especially the rooms facing Kalakaua Ave with the balcony as we got a brilliant view of the Halloween festivities on our last night their. I certainly recommend the Polynesian Plaza to anyone seeking something along the lines of what I have highlighted in this review.

The hotel staff at the front desk was very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay such a pleasure. Katherine and Anne were the best hostesses ever! The restaurant had a variety of good food. We enjoyed sitting in the open portion where we could watch the waterfront activity.

Staff was very polite. Rooms were clean beds made bathrooms clean. Saturday night prime rib and crab buffet was excellent. Very affordable and the setting was very nice. Should I ever visit Maui again I will be sure to stay at Maui beach hotel.

Always enjoy staying here for one or two nights when we visit Kauai. We usually stay a couple weeks a year on the south side, then spend the last couple nights here to avoid the traffic to airport and take in the local restaurants. Any traffic accident can close the main highway from south side for hours and you miss your flight.

the location was central to everything we did. The rooms were clean, staff were helpful with everything we needed. Nice and close to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. Even though Waikiki goes on all night and there is all kinds of night life, the hotel was quiet. Didn't hear any noise at night to disturb anyones sleep.
