We loved the Seabonay. After reading other reviews I was leery about booking, but the location and price were too good to pass up. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our last night our tv stopped working. The night desk attendant offered for us to switch rooms, but it was no big deal, so we declined. He arrived a few minutes later to check out the tv and then swapped it out when he determined it was caput. Our room was clean and comfy. No offensive odors that others complained about. I saw som.
kaikki arvostelut » Our room was spacious, and not only was it clean, but it smelled very clean. The bathroom appeared to have been up dated recently which was nice. The staff was very pleasant and also very helpful. I liked that it was beach front and 1 block from the boardwalk, and it didn't cost me a fortune. I would stay here again. Location was excellent- right on the beach and at the end of the boardwalk near the tram station. Couldn't beat the value. Clean and appeared to be in a safe area. Staff were friendly. Relatively quiet. Bathroom was recently renovated. Had a small refrigerator. Loved the ambience. Like a rodeway 50s motel but the view was fantastic. Staff were great, and the location is not on the boardwalk (no obstructed view) but the boardwalk was right there around the building. Loved how cold the a/c was. Pool was secluded and nice. You cannot go anywhere in OC and find a better place if you are on a budget. I never thought I could afford a mini vacation down the ocean and I did! Great location on the beach, near the boardwalk. A nice clean pool. Will very much go there again!!. Being able to walk right out back out back to the ocean! Nice beach! Staff was very friendly and helpful! Bathroom looked newly updated. Nicely done, plenty of hot water. it was one block from the boardwalk, right on the beach, great outdoor pool the room was clean and the AC was bumpin! Cheap and clean what more could you want?. It was better than I expected for the price. i would definetely stay here again. It was close to the beach, and boardwalk,Staff was friendly. Very good location. The hotel location is awesome, and the staff was super helpful and friendly. The room was very clean as well as the hotel grounds. Free wifi free ice vending machines on site free coffee and fruit in mornings and only steps to beach and boardwalk! :). Customer service and maid service were excellent and friendly. They even replaced a toilet seat when asked. Location to the beach was great.Beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly.It was just what i expected. The location was perfect for what we wanted, right at the end of the boardwalk and on the beach. location...right on beach a block from boardwalk friendly staff...coffee in morning. the location on the beach and the pool make hold the value for this old motel. I liked that we were so close to the beach and a short walk to the boardwalk. The employee that was working did what hw could to get us another one. Located right on the beach which was very nice and also had an outdoor pool! :). second and third floor have a balcony and the location of the hotel is near to the beach and parking is easy to get. Everything worked: the A/C the TV the lights and clock. Shower was good and towells and sheets adequate. The Ocean Front room was updated. Staff was helpful and polite to put us into a non smoking room. That it was at the beginning of the boardwalk and right on the beach. The staff was pleasant, it was oceanfront and it had pool. I mention to the front desk girl that my room was suppose to be poolside view and she stated I had gotten the room with the updated bathroom and they had no more rooms available. My check-in time was suppose to be 3p.m but she managed to get me in @1. Nothing really. It was all good to us:). This hotel is on the older side and could use some cosmetic up dates. One of the drawers on the tv stand was broken and there was just an empty spot where a drawer should have been. The carpet was old, but clean. I guess it just needs a bit of a face lift. This hotel is beach front, but you can't see the beach or the ocean due to the dune between the hotel and the actual beach. I was expecting to see the ocean. Decor was a little outdated. Mattresses could be replaced but not awful. No microwave in the room. The room was a bit dated. There was a few stray hairs on the floor, but nothing in the bed or tub. Fridge wasn't on, but I didn't need it so I didn't try. There was water damage caused by the ac, but no mold. I'm sensitive and it didn't affect me. nothing. Beds could be updated and dressers smelled a mildewy, so we stacked clothes on top. Not sure if there's anything you can do about that happening, so close to the ocean. I wish it had a microwave. pool was a little dirty. The hotel is an older hotel so the decor could use a sprucing, but for the price this place was perfect. 3 flights of stairs to carry luggage up!. Carpet could be cleaner but then it is a beach room.It was vaccuumed room. Rooms could be alittle updated. Parking was a little tight, but acceptable. a bit outdated...needs décor update.but really a typical beach place to stay...nice pool. The interior of motel is very old and worn, she could use new beds and floorboards. I didn't like the stains on my comforter or the weird mold smell that got me sick. It was bad that we went to watch tv and the tv was broke. Time for them to update to flat screens. The beds to small , old tvs toilets not comfort hight, wifi hard to use forsome in our group. No coffe pot. No microwave in room Pool closes at 9. Place needed some updating. The outside of the motel needs some fixing up. Could use renovation. If you didn't close the door just right it opened back up again, which was highly disconcerting, particularly when it blew open in the middle of the night. The weather wasnt that hot. condition of the rooms (not cleanliness, but condition). Just very old and a lot of maintenance needed...air conditioner boomed and banged all nite long...chipping peeling paint everywhere and painted over in most cases (walls, floors, etc). No micro-wave in the room. Could use a bit of updating and microwaves in the rooms. Needed an elevator, climbing to the third floor with luggage is a challenge. In my experience the night staff are not as friendly as during the day. The floor on the upper levels are painted plywood which I didn't care for. You could here everything through the walls. The pool needs to be drained and reprint or tiled. The biggest thing I didn't like with having a small child the outlets were missing covers and just hanging there or not covered with the right size outlet cover which I though could be dangerous. It is an old hotel and our room smelled moldy. There weren't many electrical outlets. It was an old motel, as evidenced by the old carpet and aged bathroom tiles and fixtures. Definitely needs a good renevation. The swimming pool has no any supervisor and it needs to be cleaned often and requires more attention. The lock on the door was barely better than a doorstop! Very leary of leaving anything of value in the room. Outside, walkways and stairs need complete renovation. Much peeling and chipped paint!. Black Mold on the ceiling and requested a room change. Initially moved into smoking room...and then upgraded to Oceanfront. Much nicer room, updated. Could be upgraded a lot. No coffee makers in the rooms and the steps were narrow so trying to drag your cart up the steps loaded with your beach stuff was hard. The room didn't really look as pictured, I was upset that the picture showed a dresser and mirror and my room did not have one. Also, the tv did not work the second night. Room was kinda dirty, acess to room sucked had to walk way out around. Dirty diaper under the bed & trash that smelled bad. I was on top corner room which from 7:00am to 11:00pm people running past room talking loud. not just a couple people almost constantly. The distance to main attractions on boardwalk. Tram was only about half block away but cost $3 for each one way trip. That can get costly. The general manager did not want to honor the reservation I had made a month prior. He claimed a mistake was made, not by him or his staff, and that the rooms would be twice as expensive as they were when I booked them. He claimed they had no vacancies other than the more expensive rooms. Thanks to letsbookhotel.come the manager had to provide the rooms at the original price. Not only did he lie about having no vacancies, but he was trying to cheat me as well. Cleanliness. Needs a lot of paint & upgrades appearance wise!. They need to update the Tv. Our door lock was broken so we didnt feel secure. small. Everything...rooms need updating.the rooms smelled like mildew. Very small rooms.
