The hotel was really modern and nice. The room was really roomy and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and prompt. This is an upscale hotel. (For New Orleans that is) We came to New Orleans to party and party is what we did. This Hotel is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter, but the Trolley System makes it really convient to travel back and forth. Great Experience. The trolley runs all night as well!!!!!!.
kaikki arvostelut » The location was great,as I was attending the WW II conference at the museum and the Hyatt R. hotel. The staff was efficient, friendly and helpful. The meals I had at the restaurant were tasty and reasonably priced. However the add on taxes, etc. were a little high. Getting the room thru letsbookhotel.com was a great saving. The price was right... The hotel was tastefully designed and decorated. The staff was very welcoming, mindful of my comfort and knowledgable about the area. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The restaurant attached to the hotel was very good too. Several tasty dishes for dinner and hearty breakfast at reasonable price. We specifically visited New Orleans to see the National WWII Museum, conveniently located behind the hotel. We were able to walk everywhere or take the streetcar -- a real New Orleans experience! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We definitely will stay here again when in New Orleans. We went for the entire Mardi Gras weekend. The staff went above and beyond to fulfill my family's needs with having 2 small toddlers from warming baby bottles in the middle of the night to storing MG items for parading. They could not have done anymore to make our weekend better. The hotel staff, the unique decor to the hotel and rooms. The bartenders at the modern and the bar directly beside, almost attached called the ballocq or something like that. Unique drinks. Unique hotel. I would definitely recommend to anyone staying in New Orleans. A wonderful stay: courteous staff, a delightfully comfortable room, and a great - if not cheap - restaurant and bar, with some mean house margaritas... Situated slightly away from the French Quarter in the warehouse district, and all the better for it. Casual atmosphere, lobby, staff friendly and very helpful, the neighborhood, bathroom/ shower, lobby restaurant , proximity to WWII museum and convention center. Good food store 5 blocks away,. I was told by a staff member that parking was going to be $10, but when we got there parking was $20. The room was quite small (332). However,I did request a room with a view of the Circle. The bed was a little softer than I'm used to. The first night I got to my room after a session at the museum, went to take a shower and found there was no soap or towels in the bathroom. However, the staff immediately resolved the problem. The sink stopped up the second night. The staff resolved the problem the next day. The price for the weekend nights was very high. I was not fully aware if that at time of booking. The room was just a tad too small -- we were bumping into each other a lot. Could have used more pillows and a chair for when we were in room. A two-night stay here was perfect, but if I were staying longer I'd request a larger room. I would of liked to have a late checkout Mardi Gras day. What I mean by late is 5 or 6pm, the parades end about that time. I am not sure how many people are checking in MG Day, but it cannot be many. The bathroom only had a shower, and the rooms were a little on the small side. But I can definitely look past that. Air conditioning in room had a mind of its own. Profound differences in price per night, weekday vs weekend. Our bathroom looked as if it had not been cleaned there was hair in the bath tub and on the toilet, but the staff was very nice about it and sent someone up to clean it right away. The room was smaller than we expected and slightly shabby for the price. We had to ask for everything--robes, iPod dock--even though it was listed as an amenity. Lack of Coffee machine, or iron in room. The room could have been a little larger or the other furniture scaled down a bit. We were in a very small queen room and there was no room to walk around with a full size desk and dresser squeezed in around the bed. Poorly stocked mini bar; Cloying housekeeping staff. It's a little further out from some of the areas that I liked visiting (I.E. lower quarter, Frenchman St, etc.). rooms were a little small but it is not like your there all day. The service in both the restaurant and bar was insanely slow. We missed having a microwave in the room and the frig was so full of stuff for sale there was no room to add a thing. No parking available. No coffee maker in room. Walls are thin so you hear everything outside. Parking options. Room door bolt did not work. Bench at end of bed was broken. My stay was too short :( More expansive breakfast menu. The ice machine situation and no microwave available ...even at the front desk... The hotel did not have ice machines. Freezing hallways. Nothing!!!. Had a little problem with the staff at the beginning. I had to ask more than once for towels. For $300 a night this was not acceptable. rooms are not sound-proof; sink in bathroom is too small and awkwardly located; cleaning is not thorough at all without leaving tips on the table; food at restaurant is not amazing unfortunately (the two dishes we tried were actually unappetizing); staff opened the door to enter at 10PM while we were sleeping (this is unacceptable, scary, unheard-of, and a serious violation of privacy - I was outraged). Staff sometimes seemed a little too laid back, Bed was a little soft. Toilet very loud. Clock in the room had wrong time. Mildew on the shower curtain and 1/2 used bottle of lotion in the bathroom. There seemed to be an lack of attention to details. over charged for the room even though I booked in advance and got a price of 129 a night but beein charged 195 .. waited over 15 min to check in with no one was around to help check me in... and when i was checking out no one was at front desk again so i left the keys on the desk. car parking or lack of it. Services are not close to the hotel. The day prior to arrival, my card was charged for my room and my brother's room. We told front desk that he would pay his own room. I was then charged for both and he was also charged. By the time this situation was "corrected" I was charged an extra $54 which the hotel refused to recognize. So not good value for money. Small room at $250 a night. This is a hotel that is trying to be a kimpton style boutique hotel but misses the basics...housekeeping didn't really clean my room, had to ask for a trash can, forgot to replenish coffee, etc. also printer for boarding passes was out of ink and they didn't have any extra ink. All in all, these guys need more practice in hotel mgmt. My bathroom was disgusting. I asked for someone to clean the shavings of the night before and then it never happened. Room service was very delayed and the staff seemed confused and disorganized. - Extremely noisy hotel (3 highway bridges (!!!) and streetcar in front, AC very loud, even when switched off) -room was not very clean, dust and fingerprints everywhere, dirty carpet -Windows could not be opened. Very dry air and bad ventilation in the room. Tiny rooms. Like sleeping in a closet. Too expensive. A dump.
