  The hotel is in a good location, a couple of blocks from the Hancock Center, Oak Street Beach, and the Museum of Contemporary Art. We rented a 2-bedroom suite - the kitchen and family room were very comfortable and nicely appointed. Daily complementary hot breakfast was always very good.   We loved everything. We have stayed at several large and boutique hotels on the Gold Coast and the Peninsula is probably the best across the board. I have a difficult last name, but all of the staff immediately remembered it and also pronounced it correctly. - The location couldn't have been more convenient!   This was the very first place I've ever booked and I was a little unsure because it was more an apartment than a hotel. I wasn't sure what floor I was going to be on or what the exact room was going to be like. Fortunately, upon arrival the room was on the 8th floor.
