  The good location - just 5 mins walk from Ocean Beach and about 12 miles from the airport. The pub serving the Irish beer nearby. The room had a good standard and it was clean.   I liked the location and the fact that the train ended at the motel which made city transit a breeze. The parking was free and the place was quite. I also loved being one block from the beach. I really enjoyed having a microwave, refrigerator, and a coffee machine in the room. This is a lifesaver with young children. I felt comfortable the minute I started talking to him. - Friendly staff who volunteered information on sights and travelling into town, and also managed to change the room when it turned out we booked a "smoking" by mistake. Location, though distant from the main sights, also has its plusses: a quiet neighourhood, just opposite the zoo, and a stone's throw from the beach. Not hard to get into downtown via line L which runs from right round the corner to Market Street (about a 30-40 minute journey).

  the bed was comfortable - i enjoyed the trains and people on the street down below. i stood on the fire escape platform and was able to watch the action on the street below. it was an enjoyable stay and the room was larger than expected. - Very close to metro station

  The room itself was a pleasant surprise in contrast to the drab entryway. It appeared that cosmetic improvements had been made with the walls colorfully painted and adorned with rather appealing artwork. The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels and supplies replenished. The location of the motel is a big plus: one block from Ocean Beach, next ... mitä ihmiset sanovat » door to Java Beach cafe, and at the end/beginning of the N-Judah metro muni line (with popular stops along its route including a straight shot to AT&a - We have stayed at this motel three times now. Each time the rooms have been really large and comfortable. Each has a microwave and a refridgerator. The neighborhood is really cute with lots of funky, delicous restaurants. It is one block from the beach and 2 blocks from Golden Gate park. The N Judah line is right outside the motel and will take you to the downtown area. Parking is free which is unusual for SF. For the money, it can't be beat. Don't expect fancy, just roomy and clean.
