  I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in mid November. I have seen people raise there eyebrows when they learn this hotel is situated in Tenderloin area (which is considered a bit shady area). I too was reluctant to stay there but post my stay I experienced that it was not that badly located.   The Regency was easy walking distance to everything I needed in SF: Union Square for my conference, the BART line to and from the airport for a reasonable price, and tourist attractions like the F line to Fisherman's Warf. Our bathroom had new fixtures, and the furniture was clea - The staff was amazing! I had a unique situation, with moving halfway across the country with my new job, allergies, & a car. They worked with me and accommodated all of my wishes. The eggs (whites), fruit, and waffles for breakfast were big plusses. Also, the Wi-Fi was secure and I needed that for work. I will probably stay there again during my transition. The neighborhood is great too!
