The proximity to the Civic Center, The Asian Art Museum, St. Mary's Cathedral, Japantown, Market Street, Union Square was great.   I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in mid November. I have seen people raise there eyebrows when they learn this hotel is situated in Tenderloin area (which is considered a bit shady area). I too was reluctant to stay there but post my stay I experienced that it was not that badly located. So when we walk out the hotel just go toward van ness street, immediately you are out of tenderloin. The area is not secure especially at night but there are two routes which you can reach at the hotel, one is more secure.(the lady in the reception has explained us more secure road).   There is no negative thing i would mention. The room was new and clean. Breakfest ok. Really good position of the hotel is just perfect (about 10min to the Town Hall)! The park place is small but all the guests found a place while we were there.   The room was well kept and I was on the Eddy side but on the 4th floor as long as the window is shut it was quiet. Free wireless and the morning paper were a pleasant suprise. - Nice, quiet, clean and good location

  We booked the King Deluxe room. From letsbookhotel.com the value was awesome for San Fran. The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and far uptodate than standard hotel rooms, iphone docking on the clock, widescreen tv, DirectTV... Yes I said DirectTV.
