  Location is central a little the wrong side of town but this is why it is cheap I thnk if you can go along with the crazies around its fine. The proximity to the Civic Center, The Asian Art Museum, St. Mary's Cathedral, Japantown, Market Street, Union Square was great. The daily maid service was impeccable and the staff were all very pleasant. The wi-fi worked well and was free though not quite fast enough to take large downloads like movie files well. An excellent value for the money in a very convenient location just 10-15 minutes walk to Union Square at a fraction of the price.

  There is no negative thing i would mention. The room was new and clean. Breakfest ok. Really good position of the hotel is just perfect (about 10min to the Town Hall)! The park place is small but all the guests found a place while we were there. We would recommend this hotel mainly for young people and travellers. - Close to our destination - walking distance. The staff was very helpful. Gave us walking instructions to our intended destination. Also pointed out alternate transportation solutions and approximate costs.

The room was clean and far uptodate than standard hotel rooms, iphone docking on the clock, widescreen tv, DirectTV... Yes I said DirectTV.   Huge surprise...located off of Union Square in what used to be a very downtrodden area...a little jewel in the middle of Powell Street. Fantastic restaurant shares the beautiful lobby. Then they checked on us to make sure we were not bothered by the noise at all.   I absolutely LOVED everything! It was beautiful from the moment I first saw it, before I even walked inside. It was so easy to get to from BART and in a perfect location. The entire staff was sincerely friendly, kind, helpful and seemed to only know how to say "Yes, of course we can".   We had a wonderful stay with our family- the rooms are bit cramp, but we knew this. We wanted to stay near union square and that we did. We were able to really enjoy everything in walking distance. We would return again.
