  The attention to detail was superb. I felt like I was transported to a simpler time. I let the hotel know ahead of time that my husband was diabetic and the hostess made sure that we had everything that we needed- ie. Water, ice The maid service was very accommodating as well. Very genuine and lovely people.   We had a wonderful time staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, San Diego recently from March 11 to 14. The facilities were excellent. Our bedroom was nice and the bed was comfortable, and coffee making was provided. The pool and hot tub facilities were clean and comfortable, especially the large hot tub which can take 14. They have a ‘happy hour’ service with reduced drink prices between 5 and 7; and the food was excellent and freshly cooked, with nice hot veg - Location was excellent!. Room was clean. We opted not to get room clean on second day stay and got $5 coupon to use at one of their restaurants. Service was great. We requested clean towels on second day and were brought up quickly. If you need something for room, just call and ask. Friendly staff. Got $5 coupons for each member (5) towards San Diego zoo. Could get noisy due to it being family friendly but that is expected. Close to restaurants.
