  Firstly the location is great. You are right at the start of the cable car which you can take over to fisherman's wharf. Room had been updated sympathetically and although not large by US standards, you could definately swing a cat if that was your thing.   The hotel is still going through some renovations, but the room was excellent, comfy and quiet. The staff was very friendly. The location is only 1/2 a block from Powell and the cable car line.   The Room was great. Very Clean. Hotel front desk woman with an accent wasn't warm, but helpful. The guy who worked the front desk on Saturday night was awesome. The art going up the staircase looked like a mess. I know art, this was design student style. Sorry. Just saying. Looked like elements were peeled off. Cool... General ambience,decor and atmosphere was good especially cocktail bar and live music. Considering it was a city hotel with obviously limited space we really enjoyed our stay there.
