Two recent stays at this Northeast Nevada landmark property, which has been newly remodeled and beautifully upgraded, both the casino and rooms. Food quality and value, entertainment, and guest service are very good, too. Stay at Stockmen's next time you're in Elko. It'll be your new old favorite!. The rooms were very nice. Newly remodeled, roomy and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised for a hotel attached to a casino. The hotel registration staff were nice and the cafe waitresses and casino bartenders were wonderful! Great and friendly service!.

When our original double room was not available, they were very good about getting us roll away beds for our King suite. Totally unexpected the room turned out to be far bigger than expected and which is normal for the price paid. Available facilities in the room where great. The staff was very helpful. The room was very large, clean and the beds were very comfortable. The recent remodel was very evident. The location is wonderful for adults and if it had been warmer I would've loved to hop in the pool. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I apprciated having a refrigerator and microwave. Everything! !!!!!!! Everyone was awrsome!!!!! ELCO is way better than Wendover :):):). Nice rooms, very clean and equipped well. Nice house cleaning staff. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Had toiletries. Convenient for my work and good value. Very spacious room and very clean. Location & friendly. Location. I liked that it had good security. I was a solo traveler and wanted to feel comfortable. The town Elko is run down and there are a lot of homeless and temporary hotel residence living in the town. I felt secure staying at this hotel. I am disabled, and I needed a place to sleep, and try to find work ...there nothing. They did good to me though. The beds were good and there was hot water, towels , and soap. economical rate, plenty of hot water, good heat, plenty of towels etc, staff cooperative. The bed was comfortable. Leaving. Price. Nothing. No dislikes. The only complaint I could possible have was that sometimes the cigarette smoke from the casino came into the room presumably through the ventilation. It's a casino, so it was expected. Oh and there is no food to be had after 9pm except vending machines. That stunk on the night I came into town hungry!. The type of room we originally booked was not available. Food in the in-house restaurant would not come recommended by me (but that's of course subjective) My initial booking confirmation was not in their system despite my paper evidence. Instead of proposing a new booking/room I was only told my reservation was not in the system:period. In the end another room could be booked without problems though. The air conditioning and thermostat in our room were not functioning correctly. They were not able to move us to another roomthe the hotel was full. The staff, however, was able provide us with a fan and fortunately the windows open and it was a cool night. They also discounted the room rate so it was a good recovery by the hotel team. The heat did not work well in my room and was quite cold even after requesting an additional blanket. I was shocked to find that I had no window to the outside and therefore no privacy unless the curtain was totally closed. The room was dark and gloomy and was unpleasant to be in. I tried to avoid the and reluctantly only went in to sleep althoughI would have like to do some work there. Most of the restaurant staff seemed to be going through the motions and not caring about their job or their customers. Rooms need cable television channels (in addition to local)with adult options that can be credit available at front desk on check-in. Scary parking lot at night (feels like you're about to be mugged), so I certainly would not recommend to others with children. Check in staff unprofessional with their friend (or co-working) out of proper attire for that position playing on the business computer behind desk. The elevator did not work and may not have been working for a long time. Did not have a roulette wheel for gambling, only digital slot machines and card games. NO special deals on food with gambling, had to go to another casino for that (Gold Dust). Because heat system is geothermal and it was below zero the room was too cold. The tv didn't work. Even though we had smoke free room, the smells still seemed to seep in. I realize there's not much that can be done about that. coffee shop closed at 9. Restaurant. I didn't like that my heater was not working. I had it full blast and my room was still freezing cold. When I arrived they were short staffed and someone had called in. It took almost 1/2 an hour waiting to get checked into my room. The fact that just outside the hotel there were transits . Violent people in casino, a guy made a gesture of shooting me.... Yong males crued me w hen I didn't have a "smoke" for them!!!! I feared the arrgoression on the streeets of this getto downtown.. The Mayor C.J. and gov' officials don't care and encourage them to enable the poverty stricken & disabled to die on these streets!. carpet real dirty, bed sheet over mattress no pad, no coffee, sound proofing poor, third floor non smoking (access), room lighting poor. I had hair in my sink and dirty coffee filters in the coffee pot. I always leave a tip for housekeeping but not this time!. Smell, thermostat didn't work so I had to bad lance the constant heater with open windows. Noise from other guests was very bad. All around would have spent the double price to stay somewhere else. Next time I will. Beds are uncomfortable, lots of noise from hallway. I guess you get what you pay for!. There was no heat or hot water in our room. We noticed the cool when we checked in and was told by the front desk that it would be a couple hours before it heated back up !!! the heat never did come back on....and at check out the front desk said it never did come back on !!! But had no trouble charging me full price for a room that was at 40 degrees when we left.
