  Yak Hostel was a great hostel, only 15 walking minutes to the independence square. The hostel is situated on the 16th floor of business building, therefore we had an impressive view over the whole city, some rooms had direct view on the Olympic stadium. There is a 24 hour reception and most of the staff is willing to give you - It is located in city center, very close to metro station.   Very good hostel, one of the best what i stayed. Stuff very friendly, all girls what was at reception, and all people in cafe (nice food btw!) was really friendly, nice and proffessional. We booked room for 2 people with privat bathroom, room was really nice, clean. Good design inside. Was very nice, that we asked about early (2 hours earler) arrival, and there was - It is an almost perfect hostel. It is very well organised and run. The location is great and if you prefer not to walk up the steep hill to the old town, the metro is 5-mins away and very cheap. The food in the cafe was great and well priced.
