This is a great place to stay. Good location just outside Stornoway. We stayed in the cottage behind the guest house and it was immaculate with great facilities. The new owners were friendly and trying hard to make all the guests happy; this included 'a wee dram' of whisky on arrival and a bottle of sparkly when our table for dinner was not ready on time. Very approachable staff; fabulous environs, warm, clean and romantic buildings and gardens. Loved the sense of history; staying in Flora McDonald's house.

The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. They went the extra mile. The atmosphere was calm, organised, friendly, not stuffy, felt at home straight away. The bedroom was comfortable, clean and cosy.
Given our stay was out of season I was very pleased and would not hesitate to stay again. -
