The location was good,but best of all was the staff,from the manageress down they were just great,so helpful and friendly,the food was lovely we had breakfast each morning which set us up for the rest of the day.We went out and about each day but always came back for our evening meal,the food is excellent,great menu and they have one of the best chiefs around,keep up the good work you are all a cedit to The Pier Hotel.

Location, location, location: the Inn Keepers Lodge is situated at, and looks out upon, the beautiful River Bure. The family room we had had a view out upon this, it was nice gazing out in the morning and evenings at the people mooring below.

This is a really big pub in the small village of Horning, with (I think) only 5 or 6 rooms. We had a "Family" room overlooking the River Bure - the decor looked recent and was well finished, and a great bathroom, Lovely views over the river. Had a really good (and well-priced) meal in the restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was included in the price, and there was a full English upgrade available if needed. Will definitely stay here again when we visit the broads.

Very friendly atmosphere and very welcoming. We were a band performing at Old Buckenham Airfield Hangar Dance and needed accommodation overnight after performing. The owners were lovely, especially the lady who couldn't do enough for you and was very funny. The location is a little out in the sticks but we knew that and with a car was a lovely ace and suited our needs. Strenbeth is clean and quite quirky. Really good pub food. Pub food, but really nice. My room was around the back, which overlooked fields, birds, cows and even a couple of deer. Breakfast was simple, but very good. I had a great nights sleep, very comfortable mattress. Good free wifi.

We stayed with two dogs, and the latter were made very welcome as were we. The room was well appointed and the special two day mid-week offer was excellent value. We decided to eat in and the food was very good and well presented. Overstrand is quiet but good walks in the evening and interesting history. The hotel has been well restored to keep the Edwardian with a hint of German, feel, of its first owner and builder. We would stay there again.
