  We were delighted with our stay, finding the location excellent for exploring Hereford and surrounding towns. The hotel was very comfortable, tastefully decorated and provided a wonderful breakfast. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. - Quite simply one of the cleanest and best bed and breakfast establishments I have stayed in for a long time... mitä ihmiset sanovat » . Excellent service, fantastic big comfortable room with a bath you can virtually swim in. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

  Staff were unbelievably friendly and accomodating. Went way beyond job descriptions to help us, including opening breakfast early so that we could leave on time. They also printed out maps, descriptions, etc. - Spacious bedroom, well equipped with a terrific river view. Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent food and an interesting menu.

  Everything about Old Downton Lodge was perfect. We could not have wished for a better place to have stayed. David the Manager came to greet us as we arrived and his friendly, courteous manner continued throught our stay. The setting was stunning and the atmosphere was warm and relaxed whilst providing guests with that something special. The setting is quiet and peaceful and the restored ancient buildings are indescribably beautiful. The large guest lounge with a fire would be wonderful for a group booking and the dinners we had were first class. We will recommend it to all our friends
