  I absolutely loved this place. It was like my home from home. I have stayed in a lot of different places but have to say this has to be the best place I have stayed in and had everything I needed. I had my own little lodge in the lovely quiet village of Fen Drayton with separate bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/lounge. As a single woman travelling around the country it was nice to be able to have a 'home' for a few nights. Nicky - Everything ! The attention to detail is wonderful, from the comprehensive array of beverages and breakfast food provided to the excellent shower and sumptuous towels. Although only 5 minutes from the busy A14, Thorn House is in a quiet location and this combined with the very comfortable bed made for a great night's sleep. Owner Nicky was friendly and helpful and knowledgeable of local attractions.

  We booked three of the apartments in order to meet up with 2 other families that were travelling from Leeds and Poole. It was a great central location for us. The facilities were great and Mark was very helpful in organising and setting up one of the apartments with an extra cot and highchair for our family with twins! Totally a great place to stay - my daughter and I really enjoyed staying there while I waw on business in Cambridge. John and Mark were very helpful and there are a number of good local restaurants and markets. I plan to stay here again next year! Also recommend a visit to Nat'l Trust - Wimpole Estate, just 5 miles away - fabulous!

  Everything was 100% perfect for my stay. The staff were very attentive and helpful to my needs and requirements, the room was beautiful and very well equipped and the hotel in general was kept to an extremely high standard. The contemporary decor with the old style of the building worked extremely well and the room and facilities were excellent.   Nice little place to stay, if you don't mind the absence of an elevator, and fairly small low-ceilinged rooms. It is of course an old mill, but the rooms have been refurbished as good as it gets. Excellent meals if you go for the menu. The staff make you feel at home and are very helpful. - I grew up in Melbourn and missed this little jewel! The setting is idyllic. The view over the mill pond is gorgeous by day, but by night is stunning! The trees are lit with coloured lights and the reflection in the still mill pond is incredible - I've never seen anything like it! The staff are all really friendly, chatty and helpful. The food is delicious! The bed was very comfortable!
