Staff very professional and friendly. Beautiful hotel with large cosy fireplace. I was booking out early (6am) and the staff delivered a continental breakfast to my room the night before. An excellent touch. The surrounding area Is beautiful, with the 'cottage rooms' situated a stone throw from type river.
- Very clean and confortable.
- Place suited me very well because I had business with University of Reading and it is right in its center.
- I had to extend my stay some few more days and the receptionist was quite gentle in offering me the same rates.kaikki arvostelut »
Free 'easy to use' wifi access. Good breakfast buffet. Modern
bedroom, however the shower was very disappointing - why no pressure!?!?
Even provide a fridge in the room!.
excellent breakfast
very comfy bed
peaceful
excellent setting, like a country house and grounds
spotless, plenty of towels.
Very clean & comfortable hotel.
shower/bathroom very high standard.
Breakfast good & staff very friendly.
Great value for money...very nice room (considering the price per night £59).
Good if, and only if, you're on business at the UoR campus.
Very clean and comfortable. Would recommend to friends.
Great Location, Good parking, helpful staff,.
The room the food and location.
good breakfast,
clean,
wi-fi good, great location.
It s nice to have breakfast and dinner in a medieval castle.
Early check in. Security man very helpful.
Modern clean room. great bathroom. Breakfast well cooked. probably fine if you are on a conference there , otherwise too far from anything.
It was quiet as we asked. We didn't wanna disabled room but as we
wanted twin that's what we had.
Restaurant prices are a bit steep.
- It's just a little detail: the shower glass covered only halfway the whole bath area, so it would spill some water out of bathing area.
Unclear instructions (and on site signs) on how to find the hotel within
the Univeristy Campus. Breakfast starts at 7.30am weekdays and 8am at
the weekends which is too late in my opinion for business users.
the fact that we could only stay one night and had no time to enjoy the parkland setting.
Only problem was some other guests were a little noisy & inconsiderate.
Breakfast was quite "essential"...
A bit awkward to get in to the hotel outside of the office hours, i.e. no reception.
We had 3 rooms. Two were brilliant but the twin room was a disabled room. I just feel there should have been more twin rooms.
no dislikes.
Missed breakfast as we went down at 9.40 and it was closed. Info said 10 on a Sunday.
Dont come here if you dont have a car. Middle of no where. one bar as it was out of term time, shop closed, no food when I arrived as it was after 9 and Reading town is miles away. An alarm went off and the emergency number quoted didnt work.
No mention that we couldn't get anything, other than student food,
I.E. chips on Sat night. Poor signage to find it. No staff on duty at
weekends to service room, so no towels etc. No mention of a very good
shop close by on the campus. Very small room.
