  I stayed a night before an interview. Carol, the landlady/ manager is very friendly, exactly the lovely hallmark character of this B&B as described by others on TripAdvisor. Friendly welcome, lovely room, comfortable and clean. It's next to Abingdon road so obviously you can hear some traffic but not disturbing. The breakfast was ready at 8am when I said I would have it and served warm in a clean and homel - I liked absolutely everything about Cornerways Guest House. Carol, the landlady was so warm, friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Her attention to detail shows that she genuinely loves what she does. She gave us good advice and recommendations and helped make our whole visit a delightful experience. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our room was comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. We booked 2 nights but enjoyed it so much we had to stay a third night.

  I booked the hotel mainly because of its proximity to the venue for a college reunion dinner. A spacious free carpark in the centre of Oxford was an added bonus.   The Bear and Ragged Staff was oozing with old world charm. Log fires, exposed beams, crooked staircases - very British. The food was amazing. We ate dinner there one night and it was wonderful. Tasted home made with real local ingredients, not the usual microwaved junk most pubs serve. On our last morning we had to leave early for our flight and they bagged up a to-go breakfast for us. The room was beautiful, - This hotel is simply beautiful. The staff are fantastic, the food is very good and the rooms are simply beautiful! The location was perfect for our weekend visiting the beautiful city of Oxford followed by a Bicester shopping trip on the way home only 15 minutes from the hotel. We looked at Malmaison but thought it was too much for what it was so when we found this one at such a fab price, we booked it immediately! 15 minutes in a taxi £8-£10 to Oxtord Westside - dropped off just outside Malmai

  Great knowledgeable staff available 24h; own cooking facilities to guests was a fantastic plus (incl. everything from fridges/freezer and cooker/ovens to pots/pants and plates/mugs/utensils)! The Staff go the extra mile - they're most helpful and informative. Louise and Rodrigo (Staff) were especially helpful to my sister who needed a comfortable night, and they went out of their way to ensure this. The YHA is beautifully designed. One wishes others had a Library, and such a neat and accessible garden - altogether a sanctuary next to the Station! Great value and memorable experience. Thank you very much.
