We liked everything about the Verdene. From the helpful responses to my emails before we travelled, the friendly welcome on arrival, and the tasty veggie breakfasts that filled us up until lunch time, to the comfy beds, quiet room and sparkling new en suite. Run by a lovely family, and perfectly placed for our city centre concert and explorations, this is absolutely our first choice for our next trip to Manchester. I'm almost loathe to recommend it, as it's such good value and I'd love it to st. kaikki arvostelut »
The staff were lovely and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The hotel itself was very sweet. It's ahrd to find a room that can fit upto 4 people and for this price it was worth it. It is in the process of being done up, but I almost quick like the sweet dated decor as it adds character. It is very clean and comfortable.
It is only a 10 minute bus ride from the city centre too.
We had the warmest of welcomes from the lovely muslim couple who own the
verdene. We had one of the refurbished rooms and it was very nice and
comfortable with stylish en-suite. Hotel was 2 minutes walk away from
the curry mile and had free parking which was a bonus. Also being a
muslim couple we welcomed the vegetarian breakfast. Will definitely be
staying here again :).
We stayed here when we went to see a concert at the Academy 2 which is
just up the road. Easy to get too via public transport from Piccadilly
train station (approx £7 for taxi) and it's next to plenty take a
away's and a lidl supermarket. Clean and tidy room, towels and
breakfast provided, comfy beds, all you need and we will def stay again
if and when needs be.
Everything was brilliant. What a lovely, friendly place to stay! Location was excellent - easily within walking distance to the station and the Manchester Academy (which was why I was staying!) but off the main street so quiet at night. My room was a good size and very comfortable. Definitely a home away from home. Highly recommend!!!!!.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice big comfy bed with plenty of pillows. had a good sized wardrobe. own desk and coffee/tea making facilities. own shower, toilet and sink. good breakfast which was included in price. key to both bedroom and the front door meaning i could come and go as i pleased.
great location, curry mile round the corner. We walked to o2 apollo in 20 mins another 10 would have taken us in to city center. Room was cleanand warm. Welcome was good. Do not be put off by the words veggie in your breakfast, I have a very good appetite and it filled me. Would definitely use again.
Spacious comfortable Room. Vegetarian breakfast was great - plenty of tasty food. Aaishah was an attentive hostess. Courteous and friendly as were her staff. Location was fine - about 20 minutes walk from Manchester Oxford Road Railway station, where there were free buses into the city centre.
Free Wi-fi Internet access
Extremely friendly staff
Large size of bedroom and bathroom
Exceedingly clean, clearly well-maintained
Delicious cooked breakfasts available
Great location for the hospital and University, plenty of amenities nearby
Overall thank you for a pleasant stay!.
Very friendly staff :-)
Basket filled with coffee/tea/sugar and cream in a room.
Double bed room I was in, has an en-suite. Both very clean.
Nice full breakfast - I loved classical music in background, and it was vegetarian - lent time.
Definitely I recommend Verdene.
This was our second stay at Verdene having stayed there two months prior to this & i find its good value for money especially compared to some other places in Manchester! Quite near the town centre & the staff were helpful in recommending a taxi firm to us!x.
The behaviour of the staff is excellent; everything was so good and the room was so clean; breakfast was quite good although there are some egg shells in the egg, after i told the staff she said she would tell the kitchen to improve and I think this was quite good.
I found the staff friendly and helpful. The room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. It was in a excellent location for my use i.e. close to my daughter's university residence and on a excellent bus route to Manchester City Centre.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Location in a street bordering the park. Hotel is close to the University and near all the basic amenities (airport bus stop, other bus lines, restaurants, supermarkets). Would stay at this hotel again.
Great hospitality, feeling at home. Silence, quiet. Well connected
to the university and the city center. Perfect wi-fi connection,
always working.
centrally located, good bus transfers to centre, good information about how to go to old trafford and airport.
The ceiling fan in the room! And the location was convenient, not far from train or airport by cab.
The owner, Abdul, was extremely friendly and welcoming. Room very comfortable and shower was great!.
Very friendly hosts, made me feel very welcome.
Comfortable room with en-suite, newly fitted shower.
Friendly welcome, clean, perfect location for what I wanted, excellent value for money.
Staff very friendly and helpful. My veggie friend loved the vegetarian breakfast.
Very comfortable beds
Clean
Very friendly and helpful staff
Lovely breakfast.
Good value for money and comfort at Manchester, near the university.
Very kind and helpful staff
Good location
Simple, comfortable room.
Friendly staff, the room was clean; good location.
Friendliness & cleanliness of rooms.
This is a family-run business and the staff members were all very nice.
The location was good for me as it is 25min walk from city centre and
just around curry mile. The room has everything for all the basic needs.
Room was clean and satisfactory.
hosts friendly, bed comfortable.
Friendly and helpful staff.
There was nothing that we didn't like.
Breakfast is only served until 9:30.
When you walk into the hotel it is very dated but the room we stayed in
and the warm welcome we got more than made up for it. Only real grumble
we had was the very modern shower had very cold water!!.
Absolutely no complaints.
long walk from train station. no non-vegertarian option but i can deal with vegertarian option. shower ran cold but in fairness they did say before hand that it may do that.
After recent renovations and having new carpets fitted the doors were really hard to open. Should really have been sorted by the carpet layer or at least repaired by a carpenter after the event.
Could have been slightly warmer (though full marks for effort with extra blankets and electric heaters) - would recommend the hotel owners install double glazing as it will save them on heating costs in the long run!.
nothing at all.
There was nothing I did not like.
The ongoing re-newal works in the building are indeed needed, and will
definitely improve the place.
no elevator, evacuation plan in case of fire (one exit only).
The breakfast was not up to the standard of other B&B English breakfasts I've had.
Rather dated decor but in the process of renovation.
Vegetarian cooked breakfast may be not to everyone's taste.
Would have prefered the breakfast not to have been vegetarian but I understand why it was.
Nothing in particular. Everything was at least satisfactory.
The door was very thin so any noise from outside can easily be
heard. Also, the lock on the door seemed very feeble and security
could be improved.
The breakfast was the worst we have ever had. The coffee was instant. The egg was swimming in oil and the vegetarian bacon and sausage were inedible.
little tired but I think they were doing it up.
Limited choice at breakfast.
