  Kensington is a very good part of London to stay for a short break. There are of couple of lovely restaurants in the neighborhood, but you have to take a closer look at the menu before you enter, because prices are very different and high prices do not guarantee a good meal. Restaurants we visited: Sporano's is a very good restaurant if you like Italian food besides pizza and - We benefitted from a very special deal due to refurbishment. The price was superb for the location and the room on the 7th floor was so quiet. It was ideal for exploring this end of London. The seating areas in the foyer were wonderfully relaxing, especially on a wet morning. It was so near the Metro and yet, so peaceful. Plenty of shops and cafes, nearby. Spotlessly clean, lovely bed and cosy and warm.

The staff were lovely and accommodating, and we we're upgraded to the JFK suite. This is a generously sized room with a little mezzanine or loft area, which could be used for storage or as a dressing room.   It's my first time to stay in a hostel and it is even better than I expected. The frontdesk is very very friendly and helpful. Room (4 bed) is clean/quiet and has a wonderful window view of the St. Pancras Hotel across street. And, LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! It's pretty much in Central London and a 2 or 3 min walk to King Cross St. Pancras stat... mitä ihmiset sanovat » ion, a hub for several lines, which can take you to almost all main attractions with minimum change. I would definitely choose this hotel again for - Superb location, modern facilities and they happily give you hot water to refill your bottle in the cafe without extra charge. I stayed in a 6-bed female dormitory and everything worked out quite well. Yes, the window facing the street is a bit noisy, but it didn't bother me. Remember to bring your own padlock if you want to use the locker. And cheppals :-)
