Situtated at the foot of Mount Snowdon, The Lake View Hotel is surrounded by woodland and features rooms overlooking Lake Padarn. The rooms include a TV, tea/coffee making facilities and a private bathroom. The garden view rooms look onto an overgrown forest at the foot of the mountain. Some rooms feature views of Lake Padarn. Home-cooked meals prepared with locally sourced produce are served in The Lake View Restaurant, including a hearty Welsh breakfast. Draught beers, ciders and wines from around the world are on offer in the well-stocked bar, which also features an open fireplace. The town of Caernarfon is just 15 minutes’ drive away, and features a Blue Flag beach and a 16th-century castle. Caernarfon airport is 13 miles from the hotel, which includes an aviation museum and offers pleasure flights. The town of Holyhead is only a 45-minute drive away.

Very convenient to Snowdon Mountain Railway being just along the Llanberis Road. A good looking hotel with easy parking. My wife and I and our 16yr old grandson stayed in the family room for one night which we found to be quite comfortable. For evening meal we had rib eye steak which was beautifully cooked, just melted in your mouth, top marks for food. I would recommend Lake View Hotel to friends.

We stayed 4 nights and ate in every evening,Delicious food from exotic menu,favourite Kashmiri chicken. lovely breakfasts all freshly cooked and served at table. Excellent hosts and efficient friendly staff. Relaxing, convenient for walkers, friendly, helpful welcoming owner, always about, who managed the evening bar and conversed with the customers enjoyably. Simple, tasty breakfasts and evening meals, good menu, very reasonable bar prices. 15 to 20 minutes walk into town. Staff were very friendly and eager to help. Nice cosy hotel in a beautiful location. Hotel is not modern but perfect for the surrounding. Only a few miles from pen y pass for the Snowdon walkers. Breakfast was nice. Generally a really lovely Hotel. Would go again. We felt "Home" with the warm welcome from by Michael and Carrie Sims. Bed room was very tidy and attractive. Maintenance of bathroom, clean towels and coffee making facilities in the room greatly appreciated. Location is good and food is reasonable for the money. A very warm and friendly hotel the cleanest I think I've stayed in, the food was amazing and right on the foot step to Snowdon. The staff couldn't do enough for you and always had time to stop and chat or provide valuable information and the odd joke from Mike. The owners are lovely people and Mike was very helpful and chatty. The breakfast was good and the location within Snowdonia national park is gorgeous. The public areas are very nice and cosy and the view at breakfast is fantastic.Within half mile of Llanberis. The friendly owners and helpful staff, excellent food and wine and many helpful suggestions as to the attractions of the area. This is a hotel that we will be back to again and again as the warmer weather arrives. We relaxed like never before!. It was just a perfect stay in really beautiful environment with friendly staff, a bar and restaurant providing a home athmosphere. The room with roofed bed made you feel like sleeping in the castle. This is a small family run hotel and the owners are very friendly, the food is excellent, the ground floor bar, restaurant and lounge area is intimate and comfortable. Adequate parking and a view across the lake. The owners were great, very pleasant and couldn't do enough to help make our stay comfortable. The hotel bar, lounge and restaurant were all comfortable areas of good size, with excellent views of the Lake. A pleasant small hotel less than a mile beyond Llanberis and with good views (from my room) over the lake and far hills. Cosy bar, welcoming host and excellent, home-cooked food. Good base for Snowdon. fantastic views, staff are so friendly and welcoming and the owner Mike, makes sure that he gets to speak to all of his guests. absolutely recommend a stay at this hotel. Internet WiFi connection was not working in rooms, but was mentioned in the web. The 'small Double room with seperate bathroom' is not worth £62 per night and it's a bit cheeky to charge that not just due to the small size but the shower was nothing more than a dribble and despite reporting that on 2 occasions the problem was not resolved in any way. On arrival the lampshade in the room was covered in cobwebs and dust (took a photo) and I used the hand towel provided to clean it (no excuse for that). Nothing- What's not to like?. Nothing. The bedrooms are small but this is because the hotel has been converted from stone built cottages. The stairs to the first floor bedrooms are quite steep and could be a problem for some elderly or disabled people. On quite a busy road. The room was a little "tired", but clean, as was the ensuite. We returned to the hotel one morning, 10mins after leaving for the day - as I had forgotten my medicine, however the hotel was already "locked" for the day, and there was no sign of the owners... we rang & rang the front door bell, but to no avail. Nothing, wouldn't want to change anything. As many have said the rooms would benefit from some TLC but its a walking hotel where you don't plan to lock yourself away....great value. nothing we didn't like. Very little not to like although the decoration in some areas required some attention. No negative comments. Nothing to dislike. my stay was not long enough. Bathroom / shower was basic but functional. Only one, none too bright bedside lamp so not enough light to read by... that's all. The booking company "Booking.com" booked me a room with a lake view but on arrival it was not available. Difficult access to the bedroom. Room decor a bit tired and bed rather soft. Extremely tired in need of some renovation. Room decor a bit tired but IT was clean. Very creaky floor boards, very narrow, steep staircase to rooms. Only booked it for 2 days... the hotel is in need of updating. nope, you got me there. a little bit far away from town center. I only spent one evening, night and morning :). There were no negatives for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel as a base.
