  Our visit as part of a self-organised university tour. The Bocardo is central and walking distance to most of the colleges, museums, shops, malls and covered market. It is located on George Street above Jamie Oliver's restaurant, cinemas and theatre across the road. They went out of their way to give us an early check in, helped by holding our bags after our stay while we did a tour, recommended a good food pub, offered adapters, had quality toiletries, etc. Beds were comfortable, and temperature could be controlled by us.This was a delightful hotel which I would stay in again.

Breakfast was delicious and Marie was incredibly helpful and accommodating. My room was spacious, well equipped with the basic stuff (like hangers and drawers) often lacking in budget places, and the staff were friendly and efficient.
