  We searched long and hard online to find a good, affordable hotel in central London. This one is it (along with the Nadler, a few streets east). Our room was much larger than expected and very modern.   On arrival we were told that we had been upgraded to a club room in their sister hotel the "Mountcalm" that is located across the road. All the staff where very friendly and helpful. The room was modern and stylishly decorated with a super king sized bed.   I read a few negative reviews about Pestana London on letsbookhotel.com and on TripAdvisor. I'm not one for writing reviews but decided I should do this one. This hotel was a completely different experience from the negative reviews. I took it positively the distance from the tube sloan square about 15 mnt fast walk half hour slow but it is a good thing we need excersise i considered it my GYm work out for the morning to walk with bags to the station surely we need this walk thus everything was just g
