  Everything: the staff were very welcoming and so helpful: nothing was too much bother. The look of the hostel was more like that of a hotel than the stigma usually attached to hostels. The cooked breakfast was lovely, especially for the low price we paid for it. Also, the rooms were very well set out and in a very clean and tidy condition. This is a hotel without the extras (I.e doesnt have a hairdryer/towels & a tv on the wall), other than that it does exactly what it says on the tin!! Excellent staff, excellent food, excellent value for money all round!!) Would definitely stay here again!

The bookingout time of 12 noon was realistic and breakfast between 7 and 11 wascertainly more civilised than some hotels.   the staff from our arrival were more than helpfull, and went out there way to find us a nice resturant to eat in and made the reservation for us. the hotel and the staff were brilliant! - The location and view from our room was excellent as was the room itself. The staff were friendly and informative and the restaurant and bar were both good.

  Nice quiet location, but park and ride within walking distance of hotel so access to York centre very easy and cheap, £2 per person return. Win, Win all round. - staff really excellent - cheerful, helpful - nothing too much trouble
