  My husband and I stayed at the South Place Hotel for a week's vacation. The hotel is in the heart of the business district, so it is a quieter neighborhood on the weekends, but bustling during the week. There are a number of nearby pubs, and a Marks & Spencer across the street if you require groceries. Requests were dealt with immediately and we even got a tour of the hotel as we were interested in the history and architecture. The location is ideal. We walked through the revolving doors and were met by a lovely lady who greeted us by name and showed us the hotel and finally to our room.   We had a lovely room overlooking Big Ben and Parliament. The view was so wonderful, the nights were spectacular watching the boats and the river lights. The weather was warm and balmy and the walks along the river embankment were spectacular. The hotel is in a perfect location, the staff superb and the service top notch.
