  I'd never stayed at The Athenaeum before but I will be back. Although I booked a standard double at a very deep discounted rate (typically this means getting the box room next to the staff quarters), I was given an apartment room which was really a suite.   This was an ideal basis for exploring London and especially only 5 mins walk from Sadler's Wells theatre.
