  The staff at this hotel were fantastically polite, helpful and attentive - there was initially a problem with our room, and we were immediately upgraded by the superb reception manager into a suite that had access to a butler. The spa is excellent, the room comfortable.... From the moment we arrived, service was impeccable, the room was lovely (modern, clean and large) and our stay was delightful. We came for a relaxing time and we sure had one.

  This hotel is Excellent! It had everything that you need and everything was in working order! Continental breakfast was good! The design of this hotel is just beautiful! We had a room on the top floor (no elevator) but the stairs weren't bad! We had a beautiful view from our room looking at the beautiful garden! They offered good suggestions for dinner and gave directions. The room was magnificent! Large and airy with a beautiful bathroom. There was even a separate sitting area in the room and lots of space to move around the room. Location excellent and walkable to the Roman baths and city center. Highly recommend!

  We cannot recommend the Tasburgh highly enough! Sue, the proprieter, is the most genuinely caring person and was so helpful to us throughout our stay. We stayed there over our wedding weekend and Sue and Toni were both generous with their time and support for us. The hotel itself is clean and good looking, the grounds very lovely indeed.   Lovely breakfast room and full English breakfast.Loved being left alone and not having to be sociable. Enjoyed using the DVD selection and being able to park on the hotel forecourt. - Good location, very clean, high quality furnishings, ensuite was excellent, thick fluffy towels and toiletries included.   Perfect - breakfast is wonderful; you can't get breakfast like this for under 12pound in the town. The rooms are beautifully furnished and our bed was the most comfortable we have slept in by far. We had a view of the park across the road and it was good to keep the window open all night for fresh air. The Hypnos beds that are advertised on the home page are probably older ones (as they are not so comfortable as our Hypnos bed at home :-)). Breakfast was delicious! In total a little bit to expensive for what you get.
