The room although a little tired had a really comfy feel to it - The shower was wonderful although water could have been warmer. The staff were very helpful and could not have been more attentive. This place is amazing, if you have not been there, you are missing out. Ambience, Atmosphere, Quality, simply the best. It leaves the other horrible places you stay at, in the past.from arrival to departure was a relaxing experience the staff were friendly the service was excellent and we will be back for a return visit. kaikki arvostelut »

Cahrming Buildings and pleasant staff.Great food and a lovely room. Period rooms, location. Room was lovely, four poster bed and very comfortable. Dinner was very good. Peaceful retreat. Fantastic room with period features and plenty of comforts, very clean linen. Nice restaurant foods and conservatory setting. A unique hotel, just off the beaten track with an immense amount of aged character that would not be found in a modern hotel. An excellent dinner. Breakfast was good and efficient. Our bedroom had a recent lick of paint. The bed was comfortable. The hotel and surroundings were breathtakingly beautiful and the room was wonderful. We had a lovely stay.staff were excellent, rooms lovely. Log fire and restaurant ambience. Food, location, friendliness. The food was excellent.Staff exceptionally friendly. Everything was excellent. The room was excellent. Rustic Charm. very relaxed. Lovely, family run hotel where you feel welcome from when you arrive to the reception. Very quaint rural village but very well sign posted from the main road.Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, good food. friendly staff, nice room. The hotel is close to the motorway but extremely peacefull and relaxing, lovely gardens and helpfull staff. In a nice setting with good views and large grounds, excellent breakfast.the staff and the surroundings and room. the ambiance and helpfulness of staff. It was very different. Peaceful. resting. Friendly staff - upgraded to bigger room after tv remote not working!! -we arrived on a Sunday so the hotel was not full and the receptionistwas unable to fix it.Our friends who were over from usa and were veryimpressed with their upgrade as their first room did not have anenclosed shower. All members of staff who we were in contact with werevery helpful, breakfast and evening meal excelent. the grounds were beautiful especially looking out to a field of horses and wild deer first thing in the morning and the rooms were very unusual but nice.Liked the room and staff were friendly. Ideal for a short romantic break,. The room was particularly large and very nicely set up.Very nice dining facilities, meals and staff. Setting and individuality of rooms.Dining was first class. Interesting rooms. Located in very pleasant surroundings despite being a few minutes off M4. good size room and great view from room. We enjoyed the ambience of the place, tucked away with a nice countrystyle feel to it. Very pleasant rooms and dining facilities. Maybe to us we find the Restaurant a little impersonal, too open and at times cold would prefer it more cosy.No biscuits in our room!. I honestly cannot think of anything that i did not like.Bed not very comfortable this time around. First visit, bed much better. The shower was poor, water flow very slow and cold, otherwise stay was good.No central heating. The open fire was a must rather than a treat!. En-suite shower room had no heating so was very cold.bathroom was rather small. They had run out of a lot of breakfast items, and got our bill wrong (in their favour) which had to be sorted out.The night Porter was extremely rude!!. Can't cope with bathing in the bedroom, would prefer private facilities but that was not the fault of the hotel. it was cold in our room, heating didn't work. thought the price for dinner was very expensive. yes only cold water in shower.and tap was coming off the wall. Not really - shower cubicle could have done with a better cleaningproduct - very mouldy from condensation.Although the bedrooms have the authentic victorian look the bathrooms could do with a little bit of updating. I think this should reflect in the price. Food was at best average.Being told that csomeone would see to a heating problem only laterto find out that it was a boiler malfunction that we would haveaccepted without any fuss. When a heater was brought to the room itwas left outside without us being told it was there! Very strange. Icannot answer the next question although we would stay again andthen make a judgement. Room cleanliness and decor were below standard.Bathroom could be improved. The conservatory dining room is very large and the eating area surrounds the pool. When we had dinner it was very cold in there. Also. whilst most of the food was excellent, I had a poor piece of venison and when I mentioned this at the end of the meal I received no meaningful response. The room was a bit dirty lots of cobwebs all over, mould in thebathroom, could do with a bit of tlc and a bit of a refit with carpetspaint and woodwork. Rooms too cold, inadequate convector heater or £10 to light your own fire!.
