Very welcoming family who picked us up from the train station. Even though location was in the countryside, taxi drivers found their way, no problem. So, not having a car wasn't bad. My daughter loved the farm animals. Room was VERY spacious and clean. Having a living room attached was convenient for board games in the evening or cozying in with a glass of wine I got from the shops in town. Breakfast was amazing. Fresh eggs from the hens on property and fruit salad we couldn't get enough of. Do. kaikki arvostelut »
The hosts were very friendly and they answered all of our questions quickly. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was large and spacious. The breakfast was excellent and we were given options for both hot and cold meals. The animals were also very friendly and it was nice to walk in the animal areas and have the sheep and chickens come right to you! Very unique! This place suited all of our needs and we felt it was the highlight of our trip to the Highlands. Ou.
This perfect house was in a superb setting with Ben Nevis in the back garden ! The house was superbly decorated and appointed, there were plentiful supplies of refreshments and toiletries, and breakfast was plentiful and of good quality. It was great to have the chickens running around, the friendly dogs and the proximity to nature was great for us townies. The location was perfect for the purpose of our visit and the proprietor was helpful and informative. I would definitely re-visit.
A beautiful place to stay in the middle of the forest, exciting drive to the house (mainly if it's dark when you are looking for the house :). Really nice, spacious and clean room with very comfortable bed. From the breakfast table you can enjoy the great view to Ben Nevis as well as the animals in the garden. Great place to stay, highly recommended if you are with car and don't mind being a bit further from the village (pubs, restaurants, etc).
My Husband and I have just got back from a trip in Fort Williams, we did
some skiing at different resorts.
We loved our stay, we felt right at home and the hosts were excellent and really friendly.
The breakfast was great and all produce was used from the animals they have.
They helped with any information we needed on skiing, resturants etc. Highly recommended.
The drive is worth it, the views and location here are amazing! Ilona was so warm and welcoming and made this stay the highlight of our trip. We absolutely loved meeting the baby lambs and the baby calf they are caring for. I will be recommending Torcastle House to others and will come back! Thank you for the wonderful stay and experience.
A wonderful place to stay! Ilona and her husband are great hosts. The
rooms are spacious, super comfortable, and impeccably clean. Full
Scottish breakfast was delicious, along with the fruit and cereal. The
property is beautiful, including the farm with the friendly sheep,
piglets, and chickens. Would definitely stay here again.
Best place we have stayed during the first 28 nights of our holiday. The room was really tasteful and comfortable, the location is super and the food first rate!
The owners of this B&B make you feel at home and are natural hosts. Stay here if you like fresh air, farm animals and want to instantly relax.
We were traveling by car and enjoyed the unusual journey to Torcastle House from the main road. Torcastle Castle house was modern and there was a lot of space which is good when traveling. The breakfast room had a lovely outlook and we felt relaxed during the entire visit.
The welcome upon arrival was warm and friendly.
Superb location of the B&B, quiet and remote. Total relaxation.
Room was large, clean and decorated to a high standard with all modern conveniences.
Breakfast was superb, enough to keep you going all day.
We like everything about Torcastle House, we were made most welcome, even riding trough the tunnel under the canal on 2 motorcycle was interesting, thanks for looking after us and driving us into Fort William. Best wishes Mick, Mark, Sharon & Debbie.
The facilities were excellent, the owners friendly and helpful, and the food quality also excellent. I would stay again for a longer period as was in the area on business so had no spare time to explore the area which is fascinating.
Room was lovely and spacious, bathroom was huge and had heated tiles!
Spectacular location in the midst of mountains with farm animals about.
Owners were so lovely and welcoming. Would highly recommend.
The beautiful views, the fantastic tunnel to get to the location, the people were friendly, the food good, accommodation very comfortable, clean and relaxing. The surroundings were amazing.
The family is friendly and helpful, the setting of farm and river with views is perfect for those seeking a refuge that is still conveniently close to hill-walking and other attractions.
The location was a real surprise, close to Fort William, but with the feel of being isolated and away from it all. Getting to Torcastle is not hard, but an adventure back through time.
A very pleasant setting with everything as described. A deliscious breakfast with fresh laid eggs and good quality ingredients. Excellent hosts, would have no hesitation in returning.
Very friendly and helpful owner of this b and b, which is a little out
of Fort William near the Caledonian Canal. Good breakfast, including
sausages made from their own pigs.
Very nice welcome and nice house keeper. He had no problem with finding the way. Just you need GPS :). Maybe only do sign to turn right downhill to the tunel :).
The family made us feel extremely welcome, breakfast was excellent and we got to play with their lovely dogs! Probably the best B&B I've ever stayed in.
Best breakfast of our holiday. Fabulous location near Fort W but not in it. Loved the animals for our 2year old. Very relaxing and made to feel at home.
Fantastic welcome and very friendly. The rooms were what i'd expect of a really good hotel not a b&b. Brilliant and really clean.
Everything was perfect, beautiful countryside , excellent accommodation , easy to find with the directions given by the owners.
The owner was extremely nice and homely. Her surprise pair of chocolate cakes for our engagement was really a very nice gesture.
Excellent view of the mountains around Fort William, wonderful accomodation and cooked breakfast, very warm and hospitable hosts.
Everything was great - we really enjoyed our stay - so quiet, so beautiful, "scary" tunnel, the best place and the best host.
Fantastic location a real joy to drive there with new experiences on the way. An easy walk along the canal to Corpach.
Super welcome, great breakfast, comfortable beds, great location and breathtaking view of Ben Nevis.
The Hosts were very friendly and helpfull, the accommodation really good. The food was excellent.
Approach through tunnel unique, very exciting. Wonderful hosts. Very peaceful and scenic.
The facility was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful, beyond expectations.
Lovely welcome, beautiful view of Ben Nevis, quiet location. Very reasonably priced.
The location, though interesting to get to, was wonderful, as was the breakfast.
Lovely house felt like home from home and made very welcome had a great stay.
Great facilities, friendly owners, beautiful location, excellent food.
Stunning location and friendly hosts, An altogether lovely place!.
Very nice guest house! Unforgettable experience to stay there!.
Loved the rural location and modern, near new accommodation.
Quiet peaceful area. Lovely hosts.
Comfort, Friendly owner, quiet.
good value.
very peaceful place. breakfast very good and everything home made. warming welcome. big room.
Had a lovely relaxing one night stopover after climbing Ben Nevis. Beautiful place and friendly, welcoming hosts. Our only regret was that we limited our stay to one night. Had a really nice nice breakfast before going on our way. Would highly recommend and I'm pretty sure we will stay there again. John, Doncaster.
That I only booked for 2 nights!.
Nothing.
Nothing.
None.
Nothing.
It's a little bit off the beaten track but owners gave us
instructions on how to get there so no big issue as we had a
great stay :).
Poor internet.
Signage on the road leading to the guest house could be more prominent and frequent.
We did to stay longer!.
You do have to brave a tunnel under the canal to get there, but this
does reinforce the sense that you are in a remote and peaceful spot.
Absolutely nothing to dislike about the place .
Nothing everything was brilliant.
Nothing.
The Signage was very poor but we were told that they have difficult neighbours regarding that. A really intriging approach down a long uneven roadway and down under a Canal Underpass, but interesting.
Not a problem for us but off the beaten track, given clear instructions beforehand.
Difficult access via tunnel.
Some may think it is out of the way and without own transport could be a problem.
Very difficult to find.
nothing.
it was kind of a lost place. not very easy to find.placed in the middle of nowhere.
