in particular the price was very good. We could afford to visit the Isle of Man more if other hotels were available for this sort of price. it was very pleasant the staff were all friendly and the food was excellent. The Amber Bar. I liked the ease of checking in and checking out. I also liked theinclusive self service full breakfast. This hotel is great value for money. We have stayed a few times and will be returning in the future. kaikki arvostelut »
The hotel that we stayed in was in a perfect location.Helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. Staff and breakfast excellent. I really liked the receptionist as she was very helpful and professional. I liked the view from the hotel room and the central location - accessible and close to most amenities. Also, the restaurant below the hotel was excellent - never had a better fish and chips!. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the food was good. The hotel has a good location. There were shops, bars and restaurants nearby.Staff were efficient and helpful. Buffet breakfast was excellent.

Staf were very helpful. check-in and check-out was dealt with very quickly and efficiently during a busy period (TT).Lots, but location in particular - central and on prom. The flexibility and friendly atmosphere of the hotel.nice staff, friendly, helpful, smart, cheerful. Room very nice and excellent value for money. Good central position. Location. The food was good, very tasty dinner, well cooked and well presented. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. we couldnt stay there due to overbooking but stayed at the Claremont the sister Hotel which was very nice. friendly staff and homely atmosphere and good facilities at breakfast. Breakfast was excellent. Spotless. Lovely hot food and nice staff.Attention from staff was excellent. We could come and go at any time af the day or night. Early breakfast is very helpful. The central position. Breakfast. Loved the selection of food at breakfast. Liked the fact there was nonoise even though the fairground was outside the hotel. The service atthe reception desk was excellent both day and evening.Within walking distance of beach and restaurants. Location. Value for money. Pleasant staff. It had a good breakfast. The location.Stayed at the claremont, was ideally situated clean and friendly staff. price and convenience. location. Convenient location. The Manager and night staff excellent. the hotel was very clean. The main dining room for breakfast was pleasant and the breakfast was cooked well. The bathroom was a bit small. Difficulty turning down heating in bedroom. The only thing the hotel could improve is the 11am check out (better with 12) and more variety in terms of breakfast.I requested a room with a view and our view was a brick wall. Considering I booked nearly 2 months in advance I feel I should have got a room with some sort of a view. Main problem was the lift which omitted 2nd floor, where our room was. Then was out of order completely whilst repair work was done. Some late night noise from pub next door. No parking, shower, tv. The room was very warm ( abonus in the winter). The dustbin men woke us at 7;30am - they were very noisy. No buzzer on reception for attention when leaving or collecting room key.My room was at the back of the hotel and I would in the future book a 'sea view' room. A little noise at the rear of the hotel. The first room we had was cramped, overlooked the back and had a nosiy radiator. however, the hotel receptionist changed us to a bigger, room overlooking the bay which was very nice. We enjoyd our stay there. very noisy thumping beat coming from basement music. could not sleep until after midnight when it stopped. The carpet in the room was dirty and t.v.never worked properly. However our friends room had nice carpet and a bigger room they were in a smoking room. The hotel would benefit from double glazing. The fire alarm went off every night in the early hours of the morning, not ideal when you have small children with you. Being charged £15 more for our room than our friends paid, especially when we booked 2 weeks before them. They didn't notice that I had requested a baby cot in my room so it wasn't ready when I arrived. a problem with our booking not being logged on their computer. No bar for families. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and the fire alarm has gone off. They really need to get this fixed. We were only offered tea or coffee at breakfast on the first day of ourfour day break. It was difficult to attract the attention of thewaitresses to ask for the tea and coffee and so we usually ended up witha pot of tea when we had finished breakfast. The waitresses did not seemvery happy in their work and it put us off eating there in the evening. Just the bed. Lax security - room left unlocked by cleaners. Poor TV reception. Bacon at breakfast too salty. Corridors too narrow.no fresh fruit at breakfast buffet. room smelt strongly of smoke and asked to be moved but was full. Don't know if someone had been smoking previously or was coming through the vents. Also every one was smoking right in the doorway to the hotel this was very unpleasant when leaving and entering the hotel. I know ther'es probablt nowhere else to go but this wasnt very nice. It was also very noisy but that can't be helped. The room reeked of fresh paint smell. The TV didnt work. Some of the fittings were in need of some TLC. The room was like a sauna. It was so hot that it was almost unbearable. Had to sleep with a huge window wide open all night - and it was still too hot!. Televison hopeless. Shabby public rooms. The dirty carpet and mould in the bathroom. Otherwise a great stay. On arrival we were advised that we had cancelled the full booking when infact we had only cancelled a room for one person. I am adamant that we were given a double room suitable for only one person. I have never slept in a "double" bed which was so small. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have slept in.the room was way to small to be a double room there was no room to open the door and entre the room, the staff ignored the do not disturb sign and knocked until you answered then at 6.15pm at night insisited in putting an iron and ironing board in the room, there was no spoons on the hospitality tray no batteries in the tv remote, the breakfast was very poor hard or no toast no bacon and no one in the breakfast room to ask. Bed was of poor quality and very uncomfortable, the room was small and ventilation very poor, curtains falling off tracking. The hotel bedrooms are very outdated and in need of refurbishment. The first room they offered me was appalling, boiling hot and depressing. I asked to change rooms and the second room was better although the bathroom door would not close, the extractor fan in bathroom was on constantly (would not shut off), the carpets in the room and in the hotel corridors were very worn and needed cleaning.
