This pub/guest house is located only 10 minutes walk from my
customer, so it is very convenient for me. In a village close to London,
it has a golf course about 500m from the hotel, and the attached
restaurant offers a good selection of food.Tehre is a friendly pub
atmosphere, and there is ample parking outside. Milton's Cottage is
less than a mile away, and the Quaker burial ground, containing the
remains of William Penn (founder of Pennsylvania) is about 2 miles away. kaikki arvostelut »
The joy of staying in a very comfortable and welcoming inn
while visiting Ivinghoe Beacon and
Marlow and Henley.
I would go there again. Good value, excellent draught beer and a good price in comparison
with what's around.
Chalfont St. Giles is the most
typical English village ... and one of the most beautiful.
I enjoyed the location since in was in the village where we were visiting relatives. The staff were very nice, and the food excellent. It was clean and we really liked the second room we stayed in (we stayed at the begiining of our trip and at the end). It was ground level and much bigger than the first room.
I travel and stay away from home every week. I look for clean, comfortable, and friendly.
This place had just that. The Bar staff and morning staff were excellent. Food was very good.
This is my second time here, and I stayed for three nights this time. I have no hesitation in recommending this place to others.
We were visiting family for celebration in Chalfont St Giles and needed a bed for the night. We booked online at a very reasonable price which included en suite and breakfast. Excellent service, clean room with clean white bed linen, good facilities.
Ideal place to stay for those needing a relaxing night. Several options for breakfast in the morning and with friendly staff I would stay here again if needed. Also ample parking places even for my vehicle which is Merc Sprinter van.
Stayed in 1 of the annex rooms clean modern & very cosy, the same can be said about the pub. Staff very helful & breakfast was beautiful. Double room inc breakfast £35.....no complaints here. Would definitely stay again.
The manager and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Food was really good and the cost was remarkably low for the experience. The room was very spacious and comfortable.

The staff had top quality people skills. They seemed to enjoy looking after us. breakfast was fantastic - fresh fruit, fresh juice, good coffee, well-cooked.
We had three rooms booked for an overnight stay and we were all pleased with the accommodation, food and the staff looked after us well.

The staff are excellent and friendly. The dining room and bar area are good. They have a free cash point facility. Rooms were clean.

Great food. Well run place.
Probably nothing at all.
clean friendly warm.
Staff very friendly and a nice meal on our first evening and good breakfast offering the next morning. \we got a good offer which I was happy to pay but would have expected better attention to detail with room appointment for the full price.
Comfortable bed. Ok for an overnight stay.
Good breakfast choice.
Room size. Breakfast.
Food was very good.
Good breakfast.
Some of the bedrooms are slightly "tired" and could do with
a facelift.
First room we stayed in on second floor was a little small.
low ceiling, bumped head a few times. Nowhere to sit and relax in the room.
The en suite needs updating. The walls in the shower were dirty and tiles need regrouting! There was a rubber shower mat which was frankly filthy and needs replacing! Was tempted to throw it in the bin! Water was hot though and nice clean white towels.
Can't say I found anything negative about the white hart.
No real moans.
The leaking tap in the bathroom and the wonky glass shelf. In other words, nothing much!.
Not having a bedside lamp or table by bed.
The furniture was a bit tired, wardrobe drawers and doors didn't fit properly.
Only slight criticism of my particular room was lack of a suitable chair to sit on while using my laptop on the desk. (I have had other rooms at White Hart in the past where this criticism did not apply.).
Nothing. Although bathroom tiling needs some cleaning attention.
Sloping ceilings over desk (Room 8) which you continually catch your head on and having to duck when you come out of the bathroom owing to roof design so not a lot they can do about that.
Hotel/Pub was rather lacking in personality and was neither old nor modern.
Would have preferred a bath rather than shower.
Nothing.
The entrance into the cottage where we stayed looked tired and need of updating but the room itself was ran and comfortable.
For the first time (I have stayed a number of times before) I was less than comfortable. The reason was that my room (Room 7) was like an icewell when I arrived and took a very long time to warm up. It had clearly had no heating on the day of my arrival. The bathroom in cold weather remained very cold throughout, having no adequate heater - just a heated towel- rail.
Nothing considering what we paid.
Poor lighting in room
Badly made curtains in room.
My room was a loft conversion so at 6' 2" a few area were tricky, including the bathroom. But for the price, I'm not complaining!.
nothing!.
nothing.
Room was a little cold, but otherwise very comfortable.
Bathroom
mould round bath and shower, shower which was over bath difficult to operate leading I am sure to most of the problems. Floor damaged and dirty with mould no reflection on staff would be almost impossible to keep clean.
would have liked a mirror in the bedroom.
The only issue is the shower , the drainage is slow at best and when you lift the metal cover up over the plug hole it is full of glup , it could do with a good plunger , stayed in three rooms and all the same , rooms 8,10,11.
its a little tired in places.
the shower could have been a little more powerful. the breakfast could be better presented. I asked for loose scrambled eggs they were not loose at all. my husbands fried eggs were hard.
Sloping eaves roof caused bumping of the head.
Main room was fine and adequate room with comfortable twin beds, but bathroom had a damp smell to it and shelf above sink was insecure and reported on leaving. Decoration a little tired.
Lacks a little in soundproofing - we could hear lights being switched on in the room next door!.
Sloping roof in room also had to duck head to go to bathroom - Bathroom very cramped
No Internet available during my stay.
Room did not have its own door that can be locked, ie shared with Hotel service staff who could come and go to obtain equipment from two cupboards.
Nothing.
Bathroom very basic and gloomy.
