What a relief to stay here after the endless run of b&b's and guesthouses! A fresh, youth hostel (people under 40!) with great kitchen facilities, wi-fi, tv room and the lot. Cooked my own meal for the first time I can remember. They have a laundry service!! The guy even paired my socks. Up there with some of the quality hostels in places like New Zealand - a far cry from the multi-storey intensities of London. Relaxed vibe without partying or cliques. Perfect!.
kaikki arvostelut » Brilliant place - were really helpful and accomodating. I was in town for an interview and the young lad let me use one of the empty bedrooms as a quiet place to practice. Very much appreciated! Also the facilities are great - free wifi, free fresh veg from the garden out back (!), and a really nice garden to sit in and chill out. Really great! Staff were super friendly too. I really liked the staff. The garden was a nice retreat. I was very comfortable while being challenged by my first travel abroad. I hope to be so welcomed again one day. Cantebury is an amazing destination for a heritage pilgrimage and so close to other sites. I really had a fab time thanks to the staff at Kipps. Staying at Kipps felt like being at home. The staff was friendly, the dorm and facilities were nice and clean and it was very quiet at night. I wish I would have stayed longer than only 1 night. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. Staff fantastic, helped me with everything I needed. Rooms clean and not full of people, I wasn't woken up during the night. Other guests very friendly. Tv and free coffee. Were understanding that I was arriving late. The staff were friendly, most welcoming and helpful, especially Carmen who was at reception on my arrival. The hostel is exceptionally good value for money and is within easy walking distance of the town centre. One of the best backpackers I have been to! Staff were fantastic, really encouraged a social atmosphere. Gardens were lovely, kitchen facilities were great too. Short walk from the city, easy to find. Everything was great during my stay there. They have free cake for small event everynight. Room, kitchen, dining room were clean and very well decored. Staff were very friendly and really helpfull. The staff, the events that they seem to hold every night to encourage the hostellers to meet eachother, the neverending supply of tea, the garden, the relaxed athmosphere, I could carry on!. The staff was excellent, very helpful, the facilities were all in good working order and clean and they organise something for the guests every evening? It felt like a home away from home!. Staff very co-operative; went out of their way to make people welcome and to help in every way. There was a different activity, often food-related, every evening for those who wanted it. Kipps Canterbury is simply amazing!! Best hostel I've ever stayed in. Small, cozy, quiet -- like a b&B. Wonderfully outfitted with great facilities, staff, fresh linens, etc. 10/10. The place was clean, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the common areas/kitchen were very big and cozy. I loved the free popcorn and hot chocolate. The price seemed reasonable. Friendly staff, comfortable lounge and kitchen areas, nice garden, plentiful coffee and tea, clean linens and bathrooms. The hotel was amazing value for money. Everyone was welcoming and friendly and I would definitely recommend it. Staff v friendly and helpful, room lovely, nice garden and lounge, tidy and large breakfast room and kitchen. Good parking available on doorstep. Good mug of tea in morning after good quiet sleep in comfortable bunk. The staff is really nice,and the bed is extrmely comfortable.it makes me feel like at home. very nice, very cozy, very kind people, i really enjoyed staying at Kipps in Canterbury. Friendly atmosphere;especially at mealtime.Good to talk and get advice from other backpackers. As hostels go, it's the best one I've stayed in. Convenient, staff attitude. Friendly staff. Room was a little pokey. The price was right though. The only minor thing, the bunk bed I had was the top, and was quite disruptive to the bottom-bunk sleeper when I got in. It was super squeaky and then swayed around a lot if I moved even slightly, as I think it wasn't up against the wall enough? Still really rate the hostel, this is the only minor complaint!. Tiny sink in bathroom. Bunk bed was quite old and wobbly, the other beds in the dorm weren't like this though. Well, only one shared shower and toilets. If there were even 1 more, it would be perfect. For me personally, there was nothing I disliked, but because this hostel is so very different from others, it might not be suitable for every young traveller. Or it could be a refreshing change!. Nothing. It's a little bit of a walk from the Canterbury village central. I wish we could have gotten a double bed, but we should have booked further in advance. Breakfast could have had some protein (at least boiled eggs or some ham and cheese). Needed another toilet and preferably another shower too. Nothing stands out that I didn't like. breakfast ist okay although nothing special. i think you get an astonishing breakfast in town at Old Weavers' House. Nothing to dislike at all. I will definitely return time and again. Beds. But whatever, it is a hostel. Breakfast was limited and help yourself despite cost comparable with a normal B&B. Noise at night.
