Bridge of Cally Hotel is situated at the foothills of Glenshee, which is the gateway to the Scottish highlands. The Cateran walking trails are located by the side of the hotel and Glenshee ski centre is a 20-minute drive away. A private bathroom and a TV are featured in all rooms at Bridge of Cally, and some have river views. Local whiskies and real ales are served in the well-stocked bar, which also features a range of wines. Homemade shortbreads and scones are available in the restaurant, which has views to the river bank and an open fire. Light lunches and a full à la carte menu are provided daily. The Blairgowrie Golf Club is only 7.5 miles away, and Balmoral Castle can be reached in 45 minutes by car.

Lovely, cosy, warm hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Stylish,comfortable en-suite rooms with tv, hairdryer & tea/coffee biscuits facilities provided. Great, large, comfy bed which was big enough for our son to share with us, without disturbing our sleep, for our last minute extra night and they didn't even charge us extra (he had shared another room with his older sister the other nights) Food excellent, well presented & my 10 yr son said the beer battered fish was the best he'd ever .

The bar is well stocked and the restaurant/breakfast room is panoramic over the garden where you can watch red squirrels on the bird table. The meals were of the highest order and the staff were very friendly and knowledgable about the area. Its been many years since we have been to the Bridge of Cally and we were both very impressed. Comfortable en suite rooms, lovely bar and delicious food. The staff were friendly and polite. We will be back again very soon. Thanks to Donald and staff for an excellent stay. Friendly welcome. Staff very pleasant. Could not do enough for you. Food and service and whole atmosphere of the place was totally relaxing after a long journey. Really made you feel at home while maintaining high standard of service. Would certainly recommend to anyone. Booked late as looking to ski for couple of days at Glenshee ski area. The accommodaton was good quality and clean. The restaurant offered a good menu choice for dinner and a breakfast buffet to accompany the cooked option. Staff were friendly and helpful. Stayed in room 8 above kitchen ( as is room 7) there was some minor noise from a boiler? below until the early hours but able to get to sleep. Room was quite warm but able to turn radiators down. Some laundry bags were left outside our door area for 3 nights which should have been removed. As other posts breakfast from 7.30am would be better to get to the slopes before other traffic arrives. Nothing. There was nothing we didn't like. Free wifi but struggled to get connected. There were a couple of minor complaints, a burnt rosti at dinner, and an overcooked poached egg (rock hard) at breakfast. Nothing at all. I really liked everything about our stay in the Bridge of Cally Hotel. Nothing. Our room must have been close to the water tanks as there was a lot of noise from the tanks filling up and I am a light sleeper. Too much vinegar in the water of the poached egg. Please could you get postcards of the hotel or skiing area. nothing not to like. errrr????? Nope, can't think of a single thing!!!. Slightly slow service for dinner and breakfast but after speaking to the new owner ( of 4 weeks ) he assured me that he was aware of some settling in issues with staff. But it was not a major problem. lack of sky sports to watch football in the evening. No near by towns to walk into you have yo drive. Bed was not very comfortable....could do with a better quality matress. Noise from kitchen, very warm rooms. The creaky floor boards in the room. Nothing!. Single bed was a bit short. Nothing really. Staff service was a bit mixed. No bad experiences, but when busy it was slow. Breakfast buffet needed refreshing when we came down @ 9.30 Sunday. Waitress agreed, but did nothing about it. Needs a bit of attention to details. Wifi didn't reach bedroom. Hotel not aware of my booking, so no room prepared etc. Ok in the end, but obviously a room kept for emergency. Most expensive and worst of our trip. Problem between letsbookhotel.com and hotel. A little bit of road noise in our room. Lack of TV channels in room. Expensive for single occupancy. nothing much. Tables in dining room in need of repair/replacement, Lack of Internet facilities, free wifi advertised but network not available. the drain in the tub. Double room booked was a twin on arrival but swiftly and pleasantly resolved. Uncomfortable bed Very hot bedroom Noise from the kitchen staff(bedroom 10).
