The Gresham Court is somewhere very special, a Grade II listed Victorian building with traditional decor and furnishings. Traditional attention to detail plus quality of service is never forgotten and always assured. We are just a short walk from the beautiful golden beaches and the delightful parks and gardens that Bournemouth has to offer, and at 1 km from the centre of town. ALL NON SMOKING ROOMS.

freindly staff important when you spend a lot of time away from home, good selection of inexpensive food satelite tv and wifi all free. I have been there before and like the surroundings, the garden area is nice, the bar is good. The rooms nice and comfortable. just left to do your own thing. The location to all faciliites. The food was top notch!.

Stairs to dining room not obvious, my mum fell upthem one eve then the next day another lady did the same!. Some of the decor was looking a little tired, but I understand that redecoration is in progress. The shower had no hot water. blankets on bed and breakfasts served until later in the morning. Could not turn off radiator in bedroom. No bath. Shower water pressure was laughably low. Grumbles - Lack of floor cleanliness!! Tiny bathroom but clean!!. although allocated parking was there,for guests, if you went out in the evening,when you came back it was very difficult to find a space maybe from non residential guests parking there while they were in the bar ?.Very poor shower. the style of the room and the layout.No not really - dont expect much anyway. the room was a bit cramped and uncomfortable. The bed was poor, I would have expected a proper bed with a proper mattress. Unless guaranteed a better room, would not stay again. When we arrived we found that the hotel room window couldn't be opened and the room was stifling as there was no air con. The staff was helpful in trying to find us a different room and eventually found a suitable room after 3/4 attempts of moving our luggage which was a bit of a bind considering we were only in Bournemouth for a couple of days and our time was precious. old toilitries in bathroom. Since our last visit eight months ago standards have dropped. Obviously a different chef as the presentation of the food was poor, although tasted OK. Choice of food was from the same menu each night, this reflected corner cutting and the use of convenience foods. First room was dreadful with a very small bathroom that was full of mould. Second room was much better. The first room, was very small, bit run down - the hotel needs a bit of a refurb. Room nothing like the one in their brochure. The evening meal there was only one choice of vegatables .the singlerooms that my mother and I had booked did not state anywhere that youhad to go up steps in the bedroom to the bed which was on the floor.This was no good for my mother as she gets up in the night and would offfell down them. The hotel did change the room without any problem but Ifel this should be stated in the discription. decor needs updating. Apparently it had been recently refurbished but it just looked "tired" to me...scratches on the walls everywhere and different coloured paint on the walls in my room...very odd!!. The restaurant didnt have a very varied menu and the food wasnt very good. The room we were in could do with a power shower, bed was uncomfortable and there were no beans with the full english!. The rooms were tiny and in no way should be advertised as a double roomeven if they hada double bed in them. The bathroom was awful and timy.When you sat on the wc your feet were literally in the shower. Theshower was terrible (we actually removed the shower head to get morewater out of it). No way should this have a three star rating, thisneeds to be reviewed. Breakfast time too brief, only 1 hour. No wi fi connection.The room was small, the suite was tiny, the breakfast was way too early 8.00-9.30 on Easter Sunday- No thank you! The bed was very uncomfortable. I thought the decor very poor, obviously not been decorated for many years, bathroom minute , certainly was not worth £65 per night !.

Travelling information

By car: From the m3 motorway, proceed south towards Bournemouth onto the m27. Pick up the a31 through the New Forest and take the a338 spur road to the centre of Bournemouth, where you will come to a large roundabout. Turn left into St. Paul's Road, then take the third exit at the next roundabout into Holdenhurst Road. At the Lansdowne Roundabout, take the third exit onto Bath Road. At the mini roundabout, take the second exit into Grove Road. The Gresham Court is approximately 100 yards on the left hand side.
