Quiet location and really friendly, happy people. Sue & John are wonderful hosts and meals were fantastic. Lovely big hearty breakfasts and a lovely a la carte menu for evening dining. Our room (Poppy) was large and comfortable with a king-size bed and a sofa. Plenty of storage space too. Ensuite bath/wc with shower overbath was compact but fine. Would highly recommend. Convenient for various locations yet tucked away. Plenty of on-site parking.

Very good staff & management who take great care of their guests. Nice bar area, warmed with a log fire, good selection of ales & wines. Guest room well sized, comfortable layout, plenty of storage room, clean, comfy bed and warm room. A comfortable relaxing few days away. The staff were very helpfull and would have taken us to our party if we were unable to get a taxi, it seemed as if nothing was too much for them. Location very peacefull and pretty, breakfast was perfect and everybodys needs were catered for,10 out of 10 on all fronts! 1 member of staff stayed up for us as we had problems with keys. We wanted a base to meet up with family who live in the area and it was all that we could have asked for. Friendly and lovely location. We wished that we had booked the family meal with The Fox & Hounds rather than the pub that was chosen for us - we think we would have had a better experience!. The staff were SO friendly and helpful to everyone. It was a delightful place and the food was amazing! There was a wonderful choice and everything was cooked to order. We will definitely return with friends..the journey would be worth it. Thank you for a wonderful experience :-). A beautifully restored inn in a gorgeous part of wales. Rooms were warm and cozy with everything you need including satellite tv and a power shower. The food was wonderful - a good selection, beautifully presented and good value. I would stay here again for business or leisure. Lovely quiet setting and clean facilities. The food was exceptional with delicious breakfast included. Location ideal for all local sights and places of interest. The beach, Cardiff, interesting villages and museums and castles all easily accessible. I came back after spending a lot of nights here for work travel a few years back. i just had to show this place and people to my wife. Friendly staff. Great food. Nice modern rooms in a charming hotel and surroundings. The Inn was levely - very comfortable, lovely fresh bed linen and white fluffy towels. The food was fantastic and great value for money served by very pleasanr staff. would defintliey stay again. The welcome and ongoing rapport with the owner was excellent. The bed was kingsize and very comfortable and the ensuite fittings were of very good quality. The breakfast was 1st class. The food was very nice, large comfortable bed, beautiful location in small village, friendly staff. Location was fantastic. Village pub with restaurant. Excellent period features. Fantastic hosts. Beautiful peaceful location - a quiet comfortable nights sleep in spacious room. Advises free Wi-Fi - indeed free but signal strength poor and intermittent. Stair access to rooms tight, however help was given. Nothing to report. The fact that the pub was closed when we arrived, which meant that we could not have a cup of tea or drink prior to getting changed to go and meet the family. We made tea in our rooms and brought the cups downstairs!. There was nothing we didn't like.Wish we were staying longer. Nothing to complain about but one suggestion - if you could offer breakfast in bed or room service for the solo traveller that would be an extra bonus. We liked it all. nothing. When there is a early sunrise the curtains don't block out sun. Nothing... Our room only had a shower, I would have preferred a bath. The female half of the owners was not very welcoming or friendly - particularly frosty over breakfast.
