Brilliant staff - consumate professionals and very friendly; they could not have been more helpful despite the ungodly hour at which we arrived. I recently stayed in the Hilton in York and I have to be honest, I came
away feeling ripped off. It nearly put me off trying the Hilton again. I
tentatively booked the Double Tree for 2 nights - I have a sweet tooth
and the warm cookie was a real incentive - and a lovely touch. I have
got to say that I loved the hotel. I usually stay at the Matfen

I can honestly say that this was my best hotel experience ever! And I have traveled extensively in Asia and Europe. I stayed at the Double Tree at the Newcastle Airport because I had an early flight the next morning. My kids and I enjoyed an excellent meal at the restaurant before they headed back home to Durham. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. The room was perfect.

On our outgoing night we had a very poor nights sleep due to noisy neighbours but the staff were very sympathetic and refunded the cost of our stay. Incoming we had an excellent nights sleep and lovely breakfast, again the staff were really friendly, welcoming and helpful. Thank you all -

The accomodation was very clean and comfortable with good sized rooms. We ate in the pub the 3 nights we stayed as the food was superb and the staff were fantastic and very accomodating with the children. We took our 7 yr old and 2 yr old to the park next door and had a fab couple of hrs running around there. highly reccomend the Inn for families

Great location just off the A road. Easy to go into Newcastle in the evening and convenient for the sites of Alnwick etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful; made up our kids bed straight away when there had been a mix up over numbers. Great breakfast in the morning.
