  Enormous, characterful room with massive furniture and huge bathroom with corner jacuzzi. Really something special at the price ! The hotel itself is like something out of a Conan Doyle story - ornate Victoriana and more or less tasteful chintz; a little overpowering at first sight but certainly impressive. The room was very well appointed and catered for all our needs, eg air con, large comfortable bed, plasma screen and very quiet at night. Also a beautiful ensuite. Excellent buffet breakfast and the staff were very efficient and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

  The staff are excellent, friendly, courteous and treat you as individuals. Very clean with very high standards of service, food, decor and furnishings.
