  We were pleasantly surprised to stay at the Hotel Communal as our original hotel couldn't fulfill the reservation. We were warmly greeted by the owner and he made sure that the rooms fit our family's need. The restaurant attached to the hotel was fabulous -- a great place to relax after skiing in Champery.   It's very conveniently located for the Sunnegga/Rothorn funicular and Gornergrat train. The staff were very kind and helpful to my elderly parents.   The host Christoph Imboden is fantastic. He was very helpful during our stay and provided important information for maximizing our visit to the Zermatt area (seeing the Matterhorn, etc.).   It was a great hotel, in a location close to the town [5 minutes walk]. It seems like the hotel is newly removated, so very clean, and modern. Much nicer than some other 4* more expensive hotels I have stayed in in Zermatt.   I staid in IBIS Hotel for 2 weeks. All this time I felt that I am at home. Very nice staff, nice food, service is fine. I would really recommend this Hotel for short or for long stay. - The hotel was modern clean and the staff were helpful. Good for someone with a car.
