  We heard about this hotel from friends. They talked nicely of it so we went there, but not well enough as they DEFINITELY exceeded our expectations. Excellent position as it is near to everything. The personnel is very kind and accomodating. We were given such a warm welcome. She was really very ill and they "cuddled" her. Th - Great room - very cosy and warm with attractive furniture and the feel of staying in a friend's house, rather than an anonymous hotel room; a lovely place in which to relax. I slept so well in the large, comfy bed, and loved the cosy window seat overlooking the street below. Cute little shower room with Molton Brown goodies! Very friendly and helpful staff, and an absolutely fantastic location right next to the main Zurich train station. Will definitely book again and will recommend to others.

  I particularly liked the fact that there was a Nespresso coffee machine in my room which made excellent coffee. Being an early riser it was a pleasure to be able to have real coffee first thing in the morning. Also fantastic location. - the hotel is very comfortable in a central location wlth all the facilities needed.

  The welcome was perfect, we arrived by car and parked as close to the hotel as possible - after checking in at reception I was escorted to the underground parking garage and took my car down in a lift to the secure parking area. We asked for extra pillows and got them immedia - The rooms in the Alexander had been done to a very good standard for a small hotel. The breakfast room was small but very clean, the food was lovely with lots of selection and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent for a the major sites of the city and was right in the heart of a lively area with numerous bars and restaurants to choose from. It was also only a ten minute walk from the station and transportation links. Overall i would definitely recommend this hote

  We are a mature couple who stayed at the Hotel Hirschen for three nights in early October 2013. We took the train from Bern to Zurich. Zurich station, like Bern and Luzern, is quite nice with street level platforms (or escalators), a Tourist Information Office, and lots of underground shopping. We asked for a room off the square because Niederdorfstrasse can be noisy -- lots of res - The situation of the hotel, it was right in the old town and the variety of restaurants outstanding. Because it was in busy area due to shops and restaurants thought it was going to be noisy at night but that wasn't the case. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast choice very good. Easy walking distance to main station and the Zurich Lake. Ferries also very accessible. Very enjoyable stay.

  The staff was extremely courteous and friendly. They were very responsive to our needs and much to our delight we were upgraded from the Guesthouse to the Hotel which had better facilities. Moreover, we were given the rooms much earlier than the check in time. We wouldn't have asked - - The location was fantastic - you can easily walk there from the main train station. Then the tourist sights are within walking distance also. - The room was an adequate size - there was enough room for luggage and to walk around. - The room was clean. - There was a lift so you didn't have to carry your luggage up stairs. - The staff were professional.
