Opened in January 2013, Hôtel aux Remparts is located next to the ancient city wall of Fribourg, a 10-minute walk from the historic centre of Fribourg and the Cathedral. It offers stylish rooms with Art-Deco furniture, free WiFi and free private parking. Each room is equipped with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, tea and coffee making facilities and a refrigerator. Breakfast is available every morning and on request, snacks can be prepared as well. Many restaurants can be found in the centre of town. Within a 2-minute walk you can reach the Capucins Bus Stop, which is 3 bus stops from the Fribourg Train Station.

Cosy style, room and bathroom very clean, king size bed very comfortable, helpful staff providing advises for dinner and transportation... I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel and will recommend it to everyone who should stay in Fribourg. The hotel offers free wifi and parking. The staff is helpful and the rooms are nice, clean and fully equipped. We were also offered an upgrade upon arrival, which was very much appreciated.
kaikki arvostelut » Comfortable bed and everything you need, new hotel (since January 13), nice style, very friendly staff, direct bus connection to railway station (5 min). Nice staff. Easy to access with a car (parking limited to about 15 cars). Location is good for visiting the city centre. Nice large suites (on another hand the standard rooms are rather small). Really friendly staff. Nice, helpful people, and we got a free upgrade to suite. Good location, clean, quiet. Brand new hotel. All the equipments are new. 8 minutes from the center (walking). Spacious junior suite clean room Perfect bathroom good WiFi connection. Modern clean hotel. Continental breakfast included in price. Nice big rooms, High quality beds (slept like a baby). Comfortable beds, friendly staff. Almost all!. everything. It was a good overnight option: a brand new hotel, modern facilities (..or not really? They still use metal room keys). Toiletries provided. Too pricey though (usual for Switzerland as I noticed). Free parking - quite a large lot in front of the hotel. Free wifi, good connection. A tea/coffee in the room. The bed was really good and the area quiet.The breakfast room is a little bit sad because no windows. the room is quite big and staff is very polite. No direct bus connection to University - however, it's not too far to walk (10 minutes, partly uphill). Breakfast was lacking something, otherwise good though. Wish there was more room to put you stuff above the sink in the bath room. Breakfast not included in price. Costs 15 chf per person which we found a lot. The parking was full which I guess could happen often given its size. Too hot in the room. Not possible to decrease the temperature.... A bit distant from center reception proposes "fenomenal retaurant"...that is closed very small working desk hot in the room (floor heating). Room was quite small and very hot. No bar or meals in the evening. Regarding the fact that it's a new hotel, we would have expected a more modern interior. No AC. Chairs....their rigid seats left inhalings on stockings, so would be nice to supply them by special sitting pillows or smth like that. the room was a little bit overheated. Heat in the room was too high and solution was to open the window:). No info in gps, a little tricky to find (although it is right on the road you dive to get there). Expensive breakfast not included in the room rate. Room was so tiny... And so was the double bed. If we had brought a little baby I believe we might not have enough space to sleep: neither the bed would allow three of us, nor the room can accomodate a baby crib (was it my personal feeling??). There is no place to discuss, no bar, no restaurant. This is missing. You just go there to sleep. breakfast is very poor and quite expensive.
