Opening in April 2013, this hotel and hostel is located in Uppsala city centre. It offers free Wi-Fi, views of Uppsala Cathedral and rooms with flat-screen TVs. Uppsala Train Station is 8 minutes’ walk away. A wardrobe and work desk are featured in each brightly decorated room at Uppsala City Stay. All rooms have access to shared bathroom facilities and a communal fully equipped kitchen. Light meals are served for lunch and dinner at the in-house restaurant. City Stay Uppsala also offers a snack bar and vending machines. Several shops, restaurants and bars are found in the surrounding area. Bicycles can be rented on site. Guests can relax and watch TV in the lounge. Use of the laundry room is free for all guests. Trädgårdsgatan Bus Stop is right outside the door. Stora Torget Square is 3 minutes’ walk away.

I was in Uppsala for a research trip during the Autumn and stayed in a single room, which was basic but clean and warm. It was also very nice to have a big window. The staff were great - very friendly and helpful. I had a good time chatting with one of the staff over a cup of tea, which was really great. The toilets and showers were also very clean and available when I needed them to be (although being Autumn it may have been a quiet period for the hostel). Linen and towels were included, which.

The Only Thing that differed from a hotel Room was that there were no toilet in the room. But I don't demand that for a hostel room, I payed for a hostel room and It costed only 240 Sek and then breakfast was includid. terrific!. I liked pretty much everything – thanks to last minute offer, I got spacious double room including breakfast for an excellent price. Interior new & clean, rooms well equipped, enough bathrooms, rich breakfasts. Very nice and helpful staff, especially Emma - got a lot of info about the city and culture. Great location. Clean, convenient, comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were afraid parking would be difficult but it was fine. Uppsala was a great place to visit and City Stay was the perfect place!. Very comfortable beds, very friendly staff, very central location. Free breakfast and free bedsheets. I arrived before the 3pm check in time and had to wait about 2 hours in the foyer with my suitcase. It would have been good to be able to drop my bag of somewhere and then visit the town instead. nothing. On the Fri night, there was some noise from the club over the street. But it calmed down eventually & I had no need to get up early, also the other night no problem, so overally it was ok. This is no reflection on City Stay, but I was surprised that many people staying there did not clean up after themselves after using the nice kitchen facilities. It was disappointing and frustrating to go in to use the kitchen and find both sinks and counters full of dirty dishes. Also there was not enough refrigerator space. I would recommend adding another refrigerator. No computers, just free w-lan. Breakfast was a little expensive. The late book in time. O.K. lots of traffic in the street Uppsala in holiday-time is a bit dead. (student-city). No private bathrooms but the public ones were close and clean down the hall. Reception close from 11 am to 3pm. overpriced, noise from the street (there was a club across the street). price, noise due to construction. nothing. Curtains let the light go inside the room. Building work in the the room next door completely ruined the whole experience. That whole corridor should not have been let out because it was unbearable during my stay. Bunk beds in triple room, that was a shock for three not-too-young women, because it was not mentioned in the website, nor the pictures.
