  The property is beautiful, the staff were hospitable, friendly, helpful and downright adorable. Santander is in a part of Spain that does not speak English, and being the only one of 3 that speaks high-school spanish, ie, not much, the hotel staff went out of their way to make sure that we knew where we were going and what to do.   The Gran Hotel Sardinero is a beautiful, very modern and very clean hotel situated directly overlooking the sea/ beach. We had a very spacious bright superior room with a side sea view. It was incredibly quiet.
